Just got some of my first coral and just to make sure they do ok I got them some food does anyone know how often I should feed them?

I know it's a soft coral I'm not sure the name it was just sitting in the tank and the LFS threw it in a bag and gave it to me and a mushroom and a leather

Most likely don't have to feed, especially if you have adequate lighting. Feeding will add nutrients to your tank that can cause a whole bunch of problems. Knowing what kind of coral will help out though.

I am a proponent of feeding. Watrr changes and heavy skimming to remove nutrients. Corals have mouths and polyps for a reason. Yes they can be sustained by lighting but there anatomical make up shows us that they also eat in the water column. Plus I like watching em grow fast

I feed also, but the OP is just starting out and usually adding nutrients to a just cycled tank will end up causing more problems then helping. Just my opinion of course.

Here's the coral

Well with the plays I seldom feed anyways same with mushrooms they do a fantastic job just living off light and fish poop . And I don't know why but in 9 years I've never owned a leather(never found them inreresting) so I cannot comment on that .

That's a zoa, in my experience only some of them will eat food others will simply refuse to eat anything. Generally I don't bother feeding soft coral as they don't tend to eat very well and seem to grow quickly without food.

Does anyone know if I can take the coral off the thing it's on and glue it to a rock?

Yes you can but be careful and read up on them before you do. Also make sure to wear gloves and goggles when you frag it.

What do I need to feed these corals and what do I need to test the water for?
The snake looking coral is on a stand looking thing can I take it off that thing and put in straight on my live rock?

Again these corals do not need to be feed. The one on the left looks to be some type of xenia and the one on the right is zoas again. You would have to take some of the rock with it if you want to move it. You can't glue their bodies directly.
