Fish building/man cave build!

Like the niche market ideas. Just finished upgrading one CNC machine for stone to a 5' x 10' bed and installed a 5' x 12' for solid surface to replace our old 6' x 8' piece of junk. Having a hard time finding a new source for cell cast acrylic as all the distributors stopped stocking it.

I wish I had a CNC that was that big! Mine are 30x18cm and 30x40cm. :)

All the fish, rock and corals from the 55 and 75 and 20 fuge are moved!

the canister will be moved this afternoon to under the stand. So far, the corals are starting to open and the fish seem happy.

Now, the battle with aiptasia begins!

I have a three year old control system with motors for a new build for you LOL! It is off the old rebuilt 6' x 8'. Look up Avid CNC online and that is how we built the new PRO models. All 80/20 construction so you would love the process LOL.

Water is clearing up, canister moved. Started cleaning out the temporary tanks. I am absolutely exhausted.

But, I feel great to have my 12 foot tank running again.

:)

That would be super cool to try and build.

I honestly only want a 36" or 48" square one. That's big enough to build anything I have in mind.

Well kids, this is why you wear gloves when handling live rock:

I knew I killed a fire worm yesterday but I didn't realize how badly it got me until my hand woke me up at 3:45 this morning. You can actually see where I pulled a couple cilia out with pointy tweezers. I couldn't bend my fingers and almost went to the emergency room. But, I iced it down then alternated hot water soaking and ice and it's much better. Still can't grip anything and it feels a little numb now but I will take that over earlier this morning. Please, please, please! Wear gloves!

Well gang, I did get something done today:

That was a huge project by myself. The workbench will be under that.

We didn't pick up either tank this weekend. Yesterday my mother-in-law coded and was down for 15 minutes. She passed this morning at 1:41. We have been dealing with that. My wife is still in Montgomery and I am going back Thursday morning. keep my wife and her sisters and step father in your prayers.

I think I figured out why I couldn't keep SPS at all and LPS seemed to be receeding or dying the last month or so.

This was not like this 6 weeks ago. I keep a notebook of when I clean things since the strokes make it difficult to keep track. That's out of a Curve 7.

I ordered an upgraded pump for it. It's my backup skimmer to the curve 9 elite. Let's hope this never happens again. I am going to put myself on a 3 week schedule of breaking down the skimmer instead of wiping it out weekly and breaking it down every 6 weeks like before. That way I can keep a closer eye on it.

Very upsetting this happened. I lost two scolys, about 6 different sps and my frogspawns both receded a bit in the last few weeks. I should have suspected a pump or heater issue when alk, calc, ph, salinity and nitrate were all spot on.

It also explains why the fish from the 75 perked up and colored up when put in the 12 footer. 100% water change and no poison in the water.

@dantimdad looking amazing. really glad to see that tank up and going again. You Rock!!!

Thanks!

It'll look better when the water level is higher. I have to finish the other stand that holds the sump and the 187.

I will call soon and arrange a visit my friend!

I appreciate all the kind thoughts and prayers. We laid Sherry's mother to rest yesterday next to Sherry's father. It was a lovely ceremony. As there should have been, there were a lot of humorous moments and supportive comments.

I was able to get water changes and glass cleaning done today.

I am picking up the rsr 525xl tomorrow and dropping off the 75, stand and a bunch of equipment at my buddy's house.

I am hoping to have that tank modified and filled by the end of next week for delivery of the discus.

Picked up the rsr 525 today. Already removed the overflow. Now on to cleaning, removing the vinyl on then back and plugging the holes.

Then, stand modification.

Holy cow! This tank
Looked clean yesterday when it had a reef in it.

i took before pics will post them and after when it’s clean.

BTW if you own a Red Sea reefer, figure out a way to completely clean the overflow at least once a month. I am sure that was part
Of the nitrate issue he had.
