Fish dying 30 gallon tank

Well, I change water in quarantine systems based on need identified through water testing. High ammonia is a serious issue and can require daily water changes. If the pH is fine, with no ammonia, I typically don’t change any during copper, change before and at the end. If needed during a copper treatment, you’ll need to redose the replacement water with copper.

@Jay Hemdal Good Morning Jay, Sorry to bug you I am approaching day 25 of copper Treatment, i wanted to understand the next steps a little better. As I am following your quarantine protocol on day 34 after i remove the copper from my system and start the prazi, I am assuming this is a 7 day process from your instructions. how long do i wait to put my QT Fish in my display? after the 7 days or do i wait until day 60?

Are you transferring into sterile tank for observation or just removing copper from current qt tank?

I will start removing copper on day 34, I am on day 25 today. have 2 clowns and will be transferring them into my Display tank after Prazi treatment

There are some different ways to end your quarantine. If the fish are doing well for you, I think you should continue with the copper for a full 30 days, then reduce the copper to less than a third of a full dose via some water changes. Then, dose with Prazipro under good aeration. Three days later, change a third of the water. Seven days after that, dose with prazi again. Three days after that, do a second 1/3 water change. Wait 10 more days and if the fish look good, move them into your main tank.
