Fish ending copper treatment

I'm not an expert by no means but personally I prefer to transfer them to a new tank after Copper treatment just to be on the safe side I'm not dealing with a strain of ich that can stay in the cyst stage for the 30+ days. If you are unlucky to have that strain, there is a possibility of the fish getting reinfected after the copper is removed...but then again I tend to overdo things lol.

That’s crazy!

I’m actually really nervous now because the fish are now acting EXTREMELY weird.... most of copper removed but they are very skittish, they are eating but not as much... this is crazy! Now you got me nervous

Keep in mind copper can supress other things but not fully erradicate, like flukes, uronema, Brook etc.

I would catch a fish and preform a FW dip. See if flukes are present.

30 days may not be enough for ich depending on the strain, so I would get the copper "out" and then do some heavy observation for another 2-3 weeks to make sure. Last thing you want is the fish you just spent 30 + days trying to QT bringing ich into your DT.

OK, scratching my head here.... I gave both fish a FW dip for 5 mins and I didn’t notice any flukes in the water(I really examined it too). Right before the dip they were really lethargic and at the bottom of the tank under my pvc fitting. However, I noticed a quick rebounce after a couple of hours back in the tank... leads me to two conclusions.... either there are flukes in the gills or the flukes were too small at the moment for me to have notice them (I have noticed flukes doing this to prior fish so I don’t think I would of missed them)

My copper level is .13 in the tank, I will do a large water change tonight/ tomorrow to deplenish as much as I can. At that point I think I will start dosing GC right away. Any thoughts?
