You never know. I had a midas blenny jump today, spent at least 5 minutes on the couch with the dog before I saw it and put it back. Was sure it was gone, shrimp were all over it, belly up, floating around. This evening, it is back in gear, clear traumatized, but alive and eating.

Sorry he did not make it. When fish take hard knocks like that and "recover", they are typically permanently diminished. Sort of like if you were in a bad car accident. They are weak for the rest of their lives.
