So yesterday my uncle who's an electrician called me and told me that the customer he was at had a fish tank and it was just sitting, no oxygen, no flow, no food.

Apparently the customer said that the person who used to maintain the tank stopped showing and then decided to let the fish die and turned off everything! The customer plays sports professionally and doesn't have much time I guess. And while his house was being remodeled he didn't have time to think about it I guess. No excuse but makes just a little more sense.

Anyway they told me that they have been left alone for 2 months. And they r rly strong fish lol... This is the tank.

So there was a blue tang, 2 pajama cardinals, 1 goby I think it's tiger but I don't remember, and a beautiful flame angel. He said I could take them all ofc.

The blue tang is the only one who rly looks malnourished.

Anyway I got them home and in qt last night and they r all eating so time to fatten up. Any suggestions for food?

I have lrs and assorted other cubed foods but should I mix some meds and or vitamins in with the food and if so what?

Also after some proper feeding could his colors go back to normal or is it to late?

I haven't ever rescued fish before either so any other advice is appreciated!
Just in case anyone was curious they r in a 54g qt tank

Makes you wonder what other fish were in there that probably died already.

Glad the remaining have hope now!

there was another freshwater tank with bodies and skeletons kinda everywhere. I didn't c anything in the tank these guys were in but I got all I saw

Good thing you had a QT tank setup already. Not sure what an appropriate punishment should be, but at least they are in good hands now. I hope you can pull them through.

Some people have no morals.
I was telling one of my co workers how I didn't like the fw silver monos in my sw tank and they looked artificial to the reef. Like fw robots at that rainbow field in wizard of Oz. Lol. Just looked out of place.
She said. "Flush em".
I was astounded. Couldn't believe what I heard.
D

I feel like they will recover if they have survived this far!

I wonder..... Is it like people where if you haven't eaten for a while you should start back up slowly?

Bad case of HLLE (erosion) but fish can be pepped up with proper filtration, oxygen and diet
These fish are herbivores and at minimum, you want to feed them:
-Spirulina brine shrimp
- LRS Herbivore diet
- mysis shrimp
- small plankton
- Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
- Hikari Marine cuisine
- Formula 2 flake and frozen
- Hikari veggie marine

Add selcon vitamins to the foods 2-3X per week and on alternating days, garlic extract for stamina and immunity health

We pull these creatures out of what must seem like an endless ocean, transport them hundreds and thousands of miles, and end up putting them into a glass cage. The least we could for them is to give them the absolute best care we know how to. It’s terrible. This kind of person would dump a puppy in a ditch. Sorry…this really bothers me. I believe animals deserve better.

I did ask my lfs Abt that and she said absolutely not! Feed them as much as possible
