My tank is pretty new, but all the levels have been good.
Tested today
Ammonia:0
Nitrite:0
Ph:7.8ish

I put a pair of clownfish in after my cycle, about a week ago, have not had any changes in these numbers. At the beginning they were both doing great, exploring eating etc, yesterday I noticed that one of them has been swimming really lethargically and just kind of getting pushed around by the current. The other one looks good. Today the one I was worried about looks real bad just kind of swimming vertically by the top and getting pushed around, very pale, hasnt eaten in a few days. He isnt getting outcompeted for food either he has plenty of chance. The other one still looks great. They both look like they might be breathing fast but I thought that was just them theyve been like that since day 1. No scratching, no spots, just really pale, not swimming well and no appetite. What should I do?

The one fish just died, I want to still know what it was though so I can see if i need to treat the other one.

Here are some pics of the dead one, it was a mocha clown so it was a lot darker at one point

Just another clown. I bought them both at the same time and they were the first fish into my system. Its not ammonia, I check daily, I also have a couple of corals that look happy as can be, so I dont think it is a water param issue.

I honestly have no clue, I don't want to treat for anything if I can't figure out what it is.

If it was brook what would be the best way to handle the other clown?

From what I am reading it might have been Brooklynella, in which case I need to treat the other one. How should I go about doing this?

but brook kills faster from what I am reading and didnt see any mucus, fish just kind of paled out and died.

I don't see any evidence of brook or any other disease from your postmortem pic. Although velvet can sometimes kill without showing any obvious physical symptoms. How long has this tank been setup?

About a month, but all of my parameters are in check and there is no ammonia.

There are a lot more parameters than just ammonia, nitrite and nitrates.
You haven't mentioned what you keep our salinity at ? Alk , Mag and Cal.
If the other one is still OK and doing great then it suggest that it may have just been unlucky and the fish itself may have not traveled or acclimated as well as the partner.
But I would love to know your other parameters, sometimes it can be salinity shock or alk issues that some weaker fish just cant adjust too in time.

Salinity is at 2.025, I check it a lot and have an auto top off
Alk 8
Ca 480
Phosphate 0
I don't check magnesium

I hope you mean salinity is 1.025 (lol)
Looking at those numbers i am still thinking you just got unlucky and that particular fish either had health issues before hand or just didn't travel as well.
Is the other one still ok, eating and active ?
