Fish Recommendation...Please

Melanurus wrasse, leaped wrasse, starry blenny (my favorite)

Mine is a 55g 4ft long tank and I even have a powder blue that's like 3" and is happy as hell. Has lots of personality

Oh, and also a mimic tang. They love to swim and will only be happy if it's a 4ft long

I'd consider a wrasse but i dont have a top on my tank. My last tank i had a six line wrasse and after a year he/she took the leap.

arent powder blues very touchy fish as far a sickness?

I dont have a top on my tank either. As long as you carefully plan the fish you add and in the proper order, you'll have a low chance of aggression and fish "jumping" out.. The way i see it, is if there's no threat to the fish whether it's bad water conditions and/or an aggressive fish they wont jump out. Not from my experience at least....

As far as them being touchy for sickness... they are said to be less hardy but again, keep your water parameters in check and do not stress your fish out and you'll be fine. He didn't look as healthy and colorful when i brought him in, but after proper diet and no stress he has colored up very nice and no sign of any ich or anything on him. Every fish is touchy for sickness if you do not take care of them :)

If you value your fish, you will get an appropriate lid. Fish jump for many reasons, not just aggression. Feeding times, lights out, nuptial displays, loud noises, sudden movements can all have a role in fish's jumping. Just because it may not have happened yet does not mean it is a responsible way to care for them.

My yellow coris wrasse used to love to jump around and out. No aggression, just liked to do it. Crazy fish. Luckily the lid stopped him. He actually broke his back once, but healed over time. That was when I had a net around the tank to prevent jumping out and not over it so he hit the lights.
