So I've just set up my new tank and added the fish to it as I upgraded to a bigger tank. Was worried about it not been level. So checked it this morning. And it's off but not by much not much at all by looking at it. Should I be worried by this or will this be okay? It's front to back with the front having a litte more water I'm guessing by the picture. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Can you get a shot of the water level for the whole tank?

Perfectly level is best, obviously, but that doesn't look too far off.
How big is the tank?
How difficult would it be to shim the stand at this point?

EDIT -- I'm making an assumption that the stand isn't perfectly leveled but that might not be true.
*as requested in last post, pics would help. (Full setup of what you're dealing with also)

Looking at the water level with the naked eye you wouldn't really be able to tell the it wasn't even would you. A few people have said its nothing to worry about but just want to be pretty sure that it'll be fine. Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi I know it's pretty close isn't it. I think I could be over worrying but wanted to make sure.

If you're concerned about mechanical loading of your stand, you should not worry about it. For small angular displacements, there will be negligible additional loading of your front legs; the loading difference goes as the cosine of the angle from which true level is deviated.

Sorry its 400 liters so about 89 gal I think

Does not look too bad to me.
Think I'll just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse but yeah a few people have said it's nothing to worry about but I'm not use to having such a big tank. Would hate to find my fish tank on the floor one day with all them dead fish and water all over the place.

hi ,welcome to the reef...:)
best bet ,turn off flow ,show everyone level at top of tank ,to water line,
water will be true level .

If it's sitting on a foam or equivlaent mat (it should be) it will probably level itself over several months.

Graham.

Hi thank you. I'm glad to be hear seems really useful for times like these. So I've turned everything off apart from the lights so you can see the water level better. Let me know what you think

hard to guess with canopy, but looks to be about a 1/4" in 18" ?
but the canopy could be off level also ??

So what's everyone thinking should I be worried and remove the water? Or does it appear to okay?

Please do let me know what you are thinking when you've got time. Because if you think it's best I take the water out and try sorting it then that's what I'll try and do but if you think it'll be fine and hold that's even better. Thanks for your help also.
