Fish Tank Room

First, I apologize for not saying this is an awesome build!

yes
I ended up cutting my pipe going into the sump at a 45° angle. The short end of the angle in 3/8" below surface.

YOU!! Are my hero, Blitzie. :D

I just cut a 45 and brought the pipe level up to about 1/2 and I restarted 5x in a row on the first shot. The secondary drain never had to go into full siphon mode. You have no idea how happy you just made me. This has been driving me crazy. I cut my pumps when I feed, so I needed to manually purge the air daily.

Avasquez, I run sockless. My DT split drains into a fuge and a FT that then both dump into my sump. My sump is a 125g show tank 6' long and I have an almost 3' empty section that functions as a settling tank. I periodically sweep that with a brine shrimp net of any detritus. Some makes it into the next chamber with my Skimmer, but almost none in the final return chamber.

I want any escaped nutrients from the DT to feed my fuge and FT and in turn want any pods from those tanks to make their way to the DT. Socks muck all that up....and I hate cleaning them. I wouldn't say I have polished looking water, but it's pretty clear and I don't have any nutrient or algae problems (nitrates <.5 and phosphates .02).

Thumbs up to @Blitzie!

first snag... ball valves are too close together, easy fix just turn the middle one upside down.

Having Alex help me with plumbing. I love the attention to detail!

Almost ready...

Promised myself I would only use 45's and no 90's... maybe I should have used some 90's lol...
