Fish that eat bubble algae?

So Ive heard that the Desjardini Sailfin Tangs and Rabbit fish will eat bubble algae. What fish have ate bubble algae for you?

I think naso and unicorn are a sure bet. Sailfins and foxface are likely and other tangs rarely but sometimes do.

From my experience, the foxface is a good bet...i have a purple tang and some others that wont touch it...

My Hawaiian yellow tang eats it for sure, along with any other macro algae on a rock or frag plug I put in the display with him. No macro survives over night, an I have personally seen him eat bubble algae.

I love Naso and unicorn tangs but I'm not comfortable putting them in my 5' tank. Some kind of Rabbit/foxface is probably my best bet. I have a hippo and lavender tang and neither of them touch it. I've never been real big on foxfaces though and just wanted to see what my options were cause emerald crabs aren't helping at all. I'm getting burned out on manual removal at this point and there is just too any places I cant get to.

+1 I have a 6ft tank and my Naso will eat ANY kind of algae. I do understand ur concern. My Naso does have cabin fever even in a 6ft tank.

I mis-read your thread Alpha8. My PBT doesn't eat bubble algae...he ate my bubble coral.

What fish are in your tank now? My tangs will do the yard work unless I feed them too much. The Sailfin cleans up frags covered in algae. The Regal rarely grazes and prefers the pellets.

I have a Regal and Lavender, they do a great job with everything else but don't touch the bubble algae

We've kept both Siganus vulpinus and Siganus unimaculatus (We like to keep one in our frag tank) and neither have ever put a dent in bubble algae, LOL. They do a wonderful job with other nuisance algae though. They are also the only fish we've ever had that would actually eat bryopsis.

Our Desjardini tang will eat bubble algae if you pop it off the rock for him, LOL.
