Fish that eat bubble algae?

We've kept both Siganus vulpinus and Siganus unimaculatus (We like to keep one in our frag tank) and neither have ever put a dent in bubble algae, LOL. They do a wonderful job with other nuisance algae though. They are also the only fish we've ever had that would actually eat bryopsis.

Our Desjardini tang will eat bubble algae if you pop it off the rock for him, LOL.

Thats probably the same experience I would have with them, especially since I feed too much LOL. I really don't want to add anymore tangs, especialy one that gets as large as a Sailfin. My 5' tank just wasn't meant for them.

now when people say their NASO tang eats it, do they mean a blonde naso or regular naso? also do it matter when the Naso is from? Hawaii, Vanuatu, Indonesia or Fiji?

What about any smaller fish? For like a 40 gallon?

I have seen both purple and yellow tangs eat it, but not so much directly off the rock. But as soon as it is floating around in the tank, they gobble it up.

Not that you want to try to break it off yourself, but that has been my observation.

As far as green emerald crabs go, they will eat it, but they also burst the bubble while doing so. So it's like a never ending buffet.

Love my foxface, eats every kind of algae including bubble!
