Flame Angel In A Reef?

General rule of thumb that I have heard for any Angel in a reef tank...keep them well fed and it will discourage them from "snacking" on your LPS/SPS. I currently have an Emperor Angel that's a 4" juvenile. In the tank I have added colt coral, zoos, mushrooms, tube worm, long tentacle anemone and another small 1" colt coral frag from my office nano reef tank. So far the Angel has been good, however I did catch him inspecting the 1" colt coral frag and nipping a few times. Just checked today, frag is still in one piece. I plan on adding blue Maxima clam...fingers crossed he will leave it alone. I'd also like to add some red sponge, but I figure that is just tempting fate there LOL

I have one in my tank lots of coral he/she never has touched any

How about flame, potters, coral beauty, and bicolor in the same tank with lots of zoas, acans, and loads of sps. That's what's in my tank. They have been model citizens with the occasional Peking if I forget to feed them. Just feed two times a day for a week they will leave things alone after that.

No problems here

3 Flame Angels in one tank, now that's an accomplishment that I have not tried before. Good job of keeping the peace in the tank, they must be well fed all the time. I had two once, they just kept chasing each other until one disappeared and never to be found. Btw, love you tank with so many angels.

I have 1 in a reef with some softies and no issues that I know of.
