Flame angel is really a devil

Or maybe you should feed more :(
Works for some. Wont work for others.
One week it took him to destroy this coral
I can't say I feel sorry for you. Before I bought my last angels. I knew the reality and accepted it. If they nip, back to the fish store. One was a pygmy angel, coral beauty and a nox angelfish. All 3 were huge nippers in a week. Out they went the moment they started.
Currently have an emperor angel. She starts to nip. Either I make a new aquarium for corals, or bye bye corals.
You waited too long to take action. I do feel sorry for the corals though.

GL with removal! Hopefully who's left and what's left makes a nice comeback.

He was smart enough to not even touch the hook instead I caught my leopard wrasse instead took apart the live rock to get him ...they’re smart

I could have told you angels are smart, sadly the wrasse are very trusting. May hate you for the rest of its life now.

I can’t even imagine my reef without a flame angel. He hasn’t eaten anything so far (3 1/2 yrs), but my fox face has. I made the choice to not house the corals that they like. Micromussa have no chance in there with him, but everything else is good. At this point, if he started nipping at anything I would still keep him and stop keeping whatever coral he went for. He’s earned beloved pet status so that’s where I am.

agreed they’re beautiful wish it worked out but imo they’re nicer fish out there and my 600 dollar coral beats him anyway now he’s in jail

The wrasse buried herself once the rock was being taken out...I hope I didn’t put anything on top of her as she’s one of my favorites hope she didn’t get crushed

As long as you didn't add rock after she buried. I would take everything out and get her out of the sand. You have to be gentle about that.
Find out where she hides next and put things where she isn't

I kinda did I didn’t see where she buried herself

Did you look for her in the sand? Usually when something gets close they will jolt out. But, she's already in a panic and fear. So she probably just didn't want to budge. I'd personally grab a stick start from the edge of glass and slowly move around the bed and try her favorite sleep spots. Hope she's alright.

I feed 3x a day it’s almost like he’s getting worse he is now picking at my Trachy and it’s not just a nip he’s nipping at it 3x at once so I doubt he’s not hurting it....hooking him today never a angel fish again
Oh maybe it’s just him then, I’m sure it is 50/50 like people say, none of mine ever nipped but I feed 4/5 times a day

Thanks for the response I’m gonna wait it out for 24 hours she’s a nervous nelly if she gets startled I won’t see her for a day....but this is the first time I moved rocks on her maybe I’ll start poking around tonight....if she got crushed a doubt there is much I can do about it now but you would think maybe she can dig deeper and make a tunnel out? Lol or I’m just bugging

I don’t think that they actually ’dig’ as much as make waves/vibration to move the sand … if they are under a rock, they might not be able to move enough to ‘wiggle’ out.

Once they gain a taste for something, that's it. No matter how many times he feeds that angel now, it's going to munch on corals. That ship has sailed.
Edit: also, dwarf angels love brain corals. So getting one who wont snack on brains - tracy - lobo - welsi - acans - would be phenomenal.

Well why do you think he developed a taste or started to nip? That’s why I said I guess it depends on the specimen, fessing, she probably a lot of factors

:( sorry, I think age probably is a big factor too, and maybe location of where it was collected might have a big influence on feeding habits.
