Flame Angel.

Dude my coral beauty loves to be cleaned by the cleaner shrimp too and if you already have a cleaner shrimp then it's probably not ich more likely a numb especially when you said he's acting normal if his fins begin to have white spots then start to worry about ich flames usually have the bumps it's normal so overall your chemicals all seem balanced well and you just need to keep an eye on him if anything happens post it is this happening to any of the other fish though

Thanks! I think it’s the coolest thing to watch. That’s what I’m thinking it is is he just hit something. The first thing I looked for when I saw it was fin health and his seem good so that was a plus. I’ll start feeding a little more to get him nice and fat since some were saying he is skinny haha

Ill have to look when I get home from work. I don't believe so. The input is greatly appreciated! I'll update later.

I think @Humblefish would agree that if it was ich (which it does not appear to be) that a cleaner shrimp is not an effective method at removing the parasite. Ich actually burrows into the epithelium and cannot be removed by cleaner shrimp/gobies (this is a common misnomer). I'm sure if humble stops by he will grant some guidance as to what this may be :)

Agree. A cleaner shrimp will eat dead skin/scales, viral growths (e.g. Lymphocystis), and could possibly reach "surface" parasites & worms. But ich is unique in that trophonts actually burrow in under the epithelium (outer skin layer), which is out of reach for cleaner shrimp & wrasses. As Dr. Colorni (one of the pioneers in Cryptocaryon research) once said to me during an email exchange: "The bug has millions of years of evolution on its side...!" ;)

As for the actual problem here, my best guess is a bacterial infection: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/bacterial-infections.191511/

However, clearer pics (under white lighting) would be helpful.

Thank you Humblefish. That was a great write-up. I will give the flame a good look over and try to get some better pictures to show. It did not look like any of the other fish posted in that forum but that still doesnt mean it isn't one. Thanks for all of the great info everyone!
