Mine is in the state yours was in when you got it. Can you give me some pointers on how you got it to come back? It is currently hidden in between a rock and glass just like that one was. I try to feed it mysis every 2 or 3 days but sometimes he's not open enough to feed. (SG 1.025, nitrate 0, phosphate 0, Calc 425, Alk 10.5, Mag 1550, Temp 77-78)

I had a perfect rock that had a nice hole in it for it to retreat into until it had the strength to handle the flow.

If you have a low flow area I'd try to move it there until it can gain strength. I didn't feed or even try to feed mine for a few days, until it was staying open and looking good.

Also what type of lights are you running?

No problem, hope it helps.

Start a thread so you can keep us updated.

How long did it take yours to start getting bubbly tips again? Just 1 day?

Mine is eating and improving... staying open during the day when the lights are on, anyway.

Really started to notice em around the 19th(from looking back at my pics) they didn't really happen over night.

Glad to hear that yours is getting better. Lots of patience to get one back

So you picked him up around 7/28 and around 8/19 he started getting bubbly tips again?

NP man.

I agree with you, seems to be a lot of info on saving carpets but not these guys. Maybe cause they are more hardy then carpets. Clean water, good lights and flow seem to be key. Oh and no added stress from clowns trying to host

My clowns haven't even looked at him the whole time he's been in the tank (2-2.5 months). Mine seems to hate flow, though.
