I've always provided my clowns with anemones.

Here are my clowns in my carpet with their sebae nearby, they've always hosted within 5 mins, other pairs I've had needed some encouragement. My pair that had always been quick with hosting has been moved to my new tank, I added a nice bubble tip, and they would not go near it.

I decided to do what I always do. Wait until the lights shut off and place a flashlight on the nem, the clowns being curious will head that way. Everytime I've done this one will immediately host the nem, they causally bump into it, and then recognize it as a host.

They see it as a light shining down from the heavens lighting the beautiful new home and I'm sure they hear angelic music as it comes into sight.

Hey cool idea! We need some more people to try this!

i will try this tonight as well! my clowns sleep at the top of my tank up against the glass and waterline

Now I cant wait to see if this works for others? This topic comes up alot. Back in the day. thats how I got clown fry out of tank, shine flashlight in and siphon them out.

That is a great tip thanks for sharing that. I used to have issues to and sometimes could never get them near the nems. I put up pictures of other Clowsn hosting nems and that never worked. I'm going to have to try this!
