Fluconazole Treatment for Nuisance Algae

I'm considering this treatment so I have to ask, Why? What are the risks?
Im actually just scared to be held accountable for this really, i shared this info on this medicine on reef2reef. So usually just say that to everyone, otherwise its a harmless treatment. But for bryopsis of course.

Thanks. Please take a look at the pic I've posted. Ignore the puffer and look above him at my returns. Can you see/identify the fluorescent green algae on them?

This any better?

I would like to try this treatment but I still need to identify what is on my return above to make sure I'm treating for the right thing.

Can anyone help? Pic is above.

Fluco works!
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction to buy it

Quick question here........ is a protein skimmer necessary for the use of this treatment? Reason I ask is because I am running a skimmerless system. Thanks for the info.

I'm not entirely sure. I don't think a skimmer is necessary but you will want to use carbon at least, to get the medicine out. Good luck!
