Very cool. I used to work at the Fish Room. One of the best stores in the area. Reef Keepers in Clayton is great too, but pricey.

Ok we have nitrates! Never thought I'd be happy about that. No ammonia or nitrites. Should I do a water change now or wait? I'm in no hurry to add fish.

wait it out! soon everything will be zero then try the clean up crew, you want to go slow so you dont start another cycle this will give the nitrifying bacteria time to catch up to your bioload!
beautiful tank!
cant wait to see it full!!

Cool. I really love clean up crews. So fun and cute IMO. It will be great to watch them explore. Also, may start a thread on whether or not to vacuum sand. I have oolite 60 lbs topped with puka.

Nitrates- 5-6 ppm
Phosphate- .20
Ammonia, nitrite,-0
PH- 8.1
No lights on yet. No water change yet. Should I do anything else yet? Skimmer is cycling but not skimming yet. Bubbles turned down. How long should I wait if I wanted to add another bacteria? I have ATM colony. Not sure if I need it though since I added one n only at the start of the cycle.

Skimmer going on almost third day. Fine tuned it this afternoon and I have amber skimmate already. But there's nothing in the tank yet? Nitrites-0
Nitrates-7-10
Ammonia-0

Ok levels are better.
Ammonia and nitrite-0
Nitrate-15
Phosphate-.03
Ph-8.2
Salinity-1.025
Temp-80 for cycling

Going to do first big water change today. Then add ATM colony.

Getting some brown algae shading on rocks.
