The carpentry is coming along. Tools is the part I am working through. I have enough mechanic tools to start a race shop, but lacking a bit on the woodworking side. It's coming together.
I am fixing a 253g tank that I saved from a 5 year stay in a warehouse. Going to take a little while but I believe it will look good. It is acrylic but I am fine with that, can't turn down free lol
Very nice, great job on the whole build. nice detail on the wood work especially the floor molding

Here is the pieces propped together and clamped in place. I'll need to do some trim work around the cut I made to make it look right.

Hmmm... I don't know, I mean its ok if you like that sort of stuff, right?
...are you kidding me that's top notch Andy, you knocked it out of the park man but, something tells me you not done yet!!!
This will never end. Thanks for the positive comments! It will look right when I'm done...shooting for mid-2017!shooting for mid-2017!
Just sprayed first 2 coats of my Marine Epoxy Primer on the cabinetry in a closed garage...I feel like I'm back in High School!I'm hungry.
Yes!!! Welcome to the paint your stand with a spray club! Can't wait to see it! Did you use aerosol cans or paint sprayer?
Sprayer. I have TONS of pneumatic tools. I bought this for a restoration I was planning a few years back, when life got in the way. Now it finally got some use! First couple of topcoats going on tomorrow. Then sand and repeat. I'm going to do 8-10 coats total, with 400-grit dry sanding between every other coat. Then a 600 and 800-grit wet sand and a 1000-grit polish. Once I am finished with that (2017!), I will apply the bronze accent color to the nooks and edging of the frames. Assuming this all comes out like I want, then I order doors, and do it all over again.
That's a thick coat of paint! You sure you are going to have nooks and edges?? haha! The wetsanding is the trick, I use 2000 grit for my final layer/polish. I find that the 1000 grit dulls it a bit more than polish. I find it easily at the local autoparts stores.
There are tons of nooks within the trim I chose! Too many now that I think about it! I am using 1000 grit to achieve a satin smooth finish. I don't want an overly glossy appearance. Are your doors in yet?!
