Not sure what’s going on here all my other fish are perfectly fine purple tang skin coat is great wrasse is good both clowns damsels all fine. I do have a carpet nem that could possibly be stinging but the fox doesn’t go anywhere near it. There was some tang aggression but that doesn’t happen very often with the tang and fox face. Feed heavy nori with selcon and also frozen foods with selcon

My foxface had one a few weeks ago and thought it was ich or something. Lfs said it may have been a scale that came off. Can not see it now. So idk
Weird. Mines like progressively gotten worse but he eats like a hog still so it’s not like he’s not eating ? Swims out comes out of camo mode so it’s odd. I’ve had him for a long time never seen this.

Never seen those, but when mine goes camo he's either scared or not good for some reason.

Hmm that could be possible if dosing phyto could do that. Currently using Tommy’s phyto
He looked good before! So does the tang, its strange to me because I don't know. Hopefully someone comes in with some information for you, and its nothing to worry about.

One thing I do know it may be necessary to catch the fish and place it in qt or medicated water. Are you able to catch the fish and do this if that was the answer?

I currently don’t have a qt but it wouldn’t be difficult to set one up Just weird it’s happened out of no where I’ve definitely seen the PT run it’s course with the fox but the fox protected it own so could be stressed. Not sure

And I say that lightly cause I saw it and was thinking maybe it was shed from my toad stool or finger leather. But I guess it’s possibly it’s from the fox face too. I mean In person I can see some of the lumpy parts and white areas have flappy film

Looks like mucus spores from previous parasite outbreak called idiopathic mucus plugs. I also see ich on purple tang which suggests the need to move the fish to a treatment tank with coppersafe or TTM, even hyposalinity.

No ich on the tang picture may present it like that but I got him for a discount cause he had HLLE cured that up with meds and selcon feeding heavy. The fox face happened to get what he had now within the last 3 days so I’m really unsure how any of it happened. Haven’t introduced anything new so it baffles me
