Fox face skin lumps

I dont know beats me I’ll continue to feed and watch over to see if anything reduces. This was about 4 days go
Has foxface gone near the anemone?

Chiming in here:

Are these only on the left side of the foxface? If so, that rules out external protozoans or metazoans, as those would be all over the fish more or less equally.

In looking at the spots - the four of them around the black spot look raised - I would not rule out a spine whack from a tang. The mucus further back look like the idiopathic mucus plugs mentioned - these can result from injury, stings or stress, or sometimes, no known reason at all.

That’s gotta be it. My
Purple tang had definitely put a beating on the fox face. Things have calmed down now lately but I have definitely seen the tang whip out the side swords
