Fragging. . .. What are you using for glue?

There are many recent posts on here about desire to frag, how to frag and even fragging for business/income. Recently, My SPS have been growing so fast that my tangs have broken a few pieces. I decided to frag them for regrowth. I have ICP and ecotech gel glue as well as a bottle of BRS coral glue. I prefer and have used Holdfast Putty by Instant Ocean. Recently I opened a tube of Tunze Coral gum instant and its suer easy to knead and use and is now my favorite

What is everyone else using and what is your favorite product for gluing/fragging coral?
What makes it your favorite?

Aren't super glue, gorilla glue and gel glue all cyanoacrylate? With the gel just being thicker than the runny super glue. I like the gel for gluing frags to frag plugs but coral putty to glue frag plugs with the base cut off to my live rock.

They are all cyanoacrylate but wondering which specific one. Gorilla glue has warnings for reef use while Gel version does not. This also educates those new to fragging as what is best to use based on user experience. Gel glue from dollar store has been popular and many will run to home depot and pay up to $4 for a tube they can get at a dollar store

I use whatever ECA I have laying around if I’m going to a fairly flat surface or jb weld if trying to attach on a point or weird surface.

Also once opened all cyanoacrylate should be cold stored. I have bottles that are still good after a year.

I use the same. The convenience factor is awesome with these.

Loctite gel minis. Single use, no problems with clogging tubes. Three tubes costs less then $4.

Sodium bicarb or any other reef safe alkali will cure CA/ECA almost instantly.

I used to use superglue gel, whatever’s cheap like gorilla. I’ve switched to putty. DD came out with a new putty awhile back that I like as it has zero effect on my skimmer. I did have one box arrive where one part of the epoxy was brittle and crumbled but I just splashed it in rodi and it was fine. I have to do things by feel now, so that’s why I no longer use superglue as it gets everywhere.

Gorilla glue gel gets my vote.
I also use putty on larger frags.

This for in tank work because they work good underwater. The BRS extra thick for out of tank stuff.

Hands down, dollar store Superglue GEL ...

Harbor Freight but most the same for me.

Had a friend turn me on to this gel, it bonds extremely fast!

The gel glue is great for attaching outside the water, but don’t the cyanoacrylate creates a barrier instantly when it hits the water, making it difficult for use in attaching underwater….

Twist and dab, twist and dab, twist and dab…and it’s solid actually sets up faster in the tank

I use a bit of epoxy as well as super glue for most frags.

I use the ecotech coral glue. I’ve used seachem glue before too and it also works really good
