Freshwater dip for pipefish?

Hello, I have recently added a dragonface pipefish to my display after a 4 week quarantine she was eating pods and baby brine doing well. A week after introducing to display she has yet to eat. Rapid breathing and eyes not looking around. I also added a mandarin and it is doing well active and eating. Is it possible my pipefish is going through a stress related ailment? All parameters in check no harassing fish.
How strong is flow in this tank? maybe too much flow for the little guy. I would get her back in QT and see if you can get her eating again. JMHO Also, they are slow feeders and get out competed for food by faster moving fish like mandarins in the long run. keep us updated. maybe hatch some live brine and target feed her? See if you cannot get her energy back up.

Be very careful with that tank not being cycled. Have you kept an uncycled tank before?

+1 You want to be very careful with an uncycled tank. Sometimes it's needed in these situations, but if you haven't done it before be paranoid about it. Do water changes any time you detect even the slightest amount of ammonia. A Seachem ammonia alert badge is the best thing you could have for a QT.

This is one of my pipes, thanking me for its ammonia alert.

This is how I keep her in QT in beginning the tank itself is also used for copepods but I transferred them to a bucket and I will have to get the ammonia badge that's really cool I didn't know they existed. I was having to do a 10% change every other day. I will come home from work at lunch everyday to check quality. Thank you

So she is doing well and even though her mouth is broken eats copepods off the bottoms and sides of glass. And there was poo on the bottom of tank so yay so far all good signs oh and breathing normally
