Frogspawn emergency- unplugged heads

Have you seen the fox face nipping them, its not unheard of but is unusual

Clearly, something is causing them to jump ship. How much flow do you have on them? I personally have the opposite problem. I have a branching hammer with 4 heads that has been retracted for months! I have tried numerous places in the tank, lighting, I even left it sitting upside-down on a rock for a while, and it still won't come out. BUT, it's still alive! I don't know why it won't come out. From my understanding they are photosynthetic, but it had been happily perched in the brightest spot of my tank for about 6 months, and that's where it was when it stopped extending itself. It still has bright green tips, and it does extend VERY slightly, but never past the end of the skeleton, and at other times it's pulled in as far as it can be. Never any brown goo. And no one's picking on it. So I'm at a loss with mine, which was why I mentioned before, that I was shooting in the dark with my comment.
