From nano to 85 gallon rimless

Looks good! How do you like your Planet Aquariums tank?

Newest edition a blueberry gorg about the size of a ketup bottle. Since I've been breeding phytoplankton and rotifers and pods I figured I'd give this a go.

This is my first one to be honest. From my understanding it needs good flow to keep debris off of it. The flow is pretty good in my tank that I went to the garage for a while and came back and it was half way across the tank standing up in the sand.

I've been doing the nano bubble scrubbing and will add more frequent episodes. I'm at the point where I do it 10 mins every hour at night. Now I'm going to do 10 mins once an hour and then 30 mins every 120 mins at night until the light come back on. I hope that should help.

Also like I mentioned I started a little phytoplankton farm so let's see what happens.

Finally got my calcium reactor in

It's a tight fit. I'll have to move all my electronics over to make room.

I'm now on the hunt for a cabinet. I was debating selling it and getting an apex dose but I figured why go through the hassle.

I also started dosing probidio and what a positive effect it has had

I'm waiting for the other two products to come in biotim I believe and reef booster. I'll also be combining it with some of the KZ products to hopefully get to an ulns which would be beneficial.

I already took my dual reactor offline which was running gfo and carbon and just out a bag of KZ carbon in and things look happier.

Well last night I decided to completely turn off everything on my tank unplug it and redo all the wiring I did to the tank. All my power was on the right side because I had the most space there. The korralin calcium reactor fit there and I thought I would be golden for this one.

As you can see in the last post this wasn't the case. I looked for a cabinet to put all my wiring but I'm really not that ocd and don't have the tools to make one. The space on that side was also pretty limited as well. So I just took out my drill and mounted everything on the side the sump is on.

Everything is now hooked up. I'm putting the reactor of air and should be getting Hanna alk refills today so once my effluent cup comes it I'll turn on to gas and then tune it.

My AI Sol Nano that I've been using for my sump light went out, we'll not completely out, it's flashing. I'm not sure if it's the unit or the power supply. I dusted it off sprayed some electrical quick drying spay on the connection and it's still in a flashing mode only. I replaced it today with an EcoTech Radion XR15. I figured this would be a neat way to go since I'm thinking I'll eventually have to pull the macro out of my fuge chamber since I'm I'm dosing bacteria who know if it will truly be an ULNS. However, this does allow me to use that chamber as a frag rack and benefit from having the calcium reactor down there.

Just wanted to post an update. Alkalinity is still a little high at 9 dKH. I'm still waiting for it to get to 7 or at least 7.5. I'll then adjust calcium and magnesium and crank the co2.

Regarding the biodigest it's working working pretty well combined with the biotim. I started adding zeostart on a daily basis as well.

I ran out of my nano zeovit package and have to say I do like it. I'm not quite sure if I'm waste anymore on combining severs different zeovit products. If any zeovit users read this please shoot me a message.

The white this is part is PVC for the return locline. Thank you for the kind words.

Unfortunately the blueberry didn't make it. We had out baby and were in the hospital for a couple days. The auto feeder didn't seem to cut it for the tangs and they took to eating it completely. It was a sad to to say the least.

But who cares we had a baby and so much more cooler than a blueberry.

A baby is so much better than anything
What are using for dosing by the way? And what size tank
Also sending it out on the 8th is fine

I couldn't agree with you Bob. She's five weeks now. When she's upset or crying we walk over and bounce by the tank and she usually calms down.

My dosing schedule isn't anything fancy. Right now I dose coral booster and flatworm stop per the KZ instruction. That's about 3 ml a dat for flat worm stop and every other day for the other.

I'm also dosing 0.5 ml of zeostart daily. I'm running biopellets and every week I'm adding two vials of prodibio biodigest and biotim until I hit the 6 week mark then I'm going to every other week with those two products.

I'm also using the KZ nano package that brs has. I'm out of two supplments but will be getting pohl's and sponge power again shortly.

I dose a different strain of phyto on a daily basis not much about 1/4th a cup.

I feed rotifers every other day as well.

Frozen food I use PE mysis and rods food.

I also plan of utilizing KZ iodine and potassium if there is a need with the time releasing little pouches.

Calcium, Alk and traces are done with a marine technical calcium reactor.

I thought you had a green colored sump

I changed our my synergy reef sump a couple months back for this trigger system sump. The synergy sump was Berlin style so it was one open chamber then a small return section. I really wanted a fuge. Now I'm debating going to a full zeovit and not that fuge section doesn't matter.

I was asking what are the names of the manufacturers and product names.
I'm dosing the phytoplankton ( seachem's) Julian's snow every so often)
Seachem fusion 1&2 and trace elements but my mag and all are off. Just started running GFO due to brown hair algae. My frags haven't been growing much hope now that I added the sump ( trigger systems crystal cube)
I feed either two cubes of brine/mysis frozen cube or pellets have 12 fish and I don't know if I should drop down to one cube and just a pinch of food.

KZ nano package, I wanted to try it out and will continue to run it.

Coral booster

Zeostart

For alk and calcium I use two little fishies reborn for magnesium I use remag

I like them. I don't have flatworms but flatworm stop helps corals become stronger and more resilient. Which in turn is a good defense against worms but is not the purpose I use it for.
