Frustrated with Corals

Tested the BioCube 29 just now.

pH: 8.2 (roughly...hate reading colors)

I hate reading colors as well. I just purchased one of these on Amazon for $15. Beats trying to decipher colors! It can also serve as a quick check for your Apex.

After speaking with BRS for about an hour, added 1tsp per gallon of ATO water. Should keep my alk, calcium, more stable.

Also got my Dino-x today so I can start treating for these stinkin' Dino's.

That is also the amount of calcium hydroxide I put in my ATO water.

7.7 alk
24 ppm nitrates
0.02 PO4
8.4 pH
415 calcium
1420 magnesium
1.025 salinity

My anemone and torch have always been out, but we're REALLY out today. My favia is starting to color back up. The brain and candy cane are doing really well (very puffed up), zoas all open and gsp as usual looks like it's doing well, though I am convinced that would grow on my bedroom wall.

It takes me about 2 weeks to go through my rodi container. The one thing I do worry about with kalkwasser is everything being elevated, but at least would be consistent elevated

I'm not sure I understand your concern? Can you please explain in a little more detail and maybe we can help?

So the ato dosed with kalk powder is say ph of 12, alk of say 13, calcium of say 550, etc. as my ato slowly adds this water to my tank won't my tank start taking on those parameters?

Not if the corals are actually using up those components. You should find equilibrium somewhere between those values and where you are now.

Did a water change of 5G last night. coupled with the ATO kalkwasser dosing, the alk from 7.7 to 8.6. Calcium from 415 to 425.

Will be curious to see the numbers throughout the week as I test.
