Well technically it's the wife's nano but I'm building it, and stocking it, and most likely taking care of it, lol. It's either going to be an all in one finnex 4 gal or a standard 5.5 gal. As soon as the AIO parts come in I'll figure out if I can use the finnex (which I'd rather use). It's going to be lit by a DIY LED fixture with a makersLED heatsink . The scape is an "M" shaped rock structure (the wife's first initial) that I put together and will have a DIY skimmer to keep the water quality up. This tank will house dwarf sea horses and will be mostly marco algae and maybe a few different zoas if I can keep them happy in such a low flow tank. I've already got water in the tank to cycle the rock since I had to use dry rock to be sure there aren't any hydroids that piggy back into the tank. I'll get some pics up tomorrow of the rock structure and I'll take pics of build process once I get all the parts in.

Look foward to following along on your build, and can't wait to see the rock structure :D

It's a crappy cell phone pic but here it is. I may have to change it a bit to accommodate the AIO unit but I won't know till it gets here.

I'm also going to make a pedestal that the tank will sit on as soon as I decide exactly how I want to do it. I try to make all my projects an interesting piece of furniture so I have to do something to dress it up a bit.

I like the rock! Can't wait to see it come together.

Awesome!! Who knew this contest would bring so many wife and children in on the hobby!! I think it's accomplishing more than originally expected!! Way to go, to all you who are letting your family members get in on the fun!!:clap2:

It's stalled at the moment. I'm trying to make this tank an AIO and ordered some parts for it but they are taking forever to get them out. I can't really do much until I get it. My heatsink for my lights finally came in in so I'll work on that this weekend at least.

You are not alone with the delays... We're stalled ourselves. Hope your needed parts arrive soon and looking forward to seeing your updates.

All-in-one. Its a compartment at the back of the tank for the filtration, heater, pump, just like a bio-cube or similar tank.

Between the delays in parts, starting a new job, and I just pulled a muscle in my neck I haven't been able to get anything done anywhere, lol. I may have to just do something different though since besides the contest the wife wants her seahorses that she was promised.

Sorry to hear of the troubles and contests on the new job.

It is definitely great to see this, Tonya...

Hopefully things will settle down and fall into place for you and hope that pulled muscle heals quickly.

Ok so it looks like I'm getting burned on the parts I ordered, nothing like someone taking your money. My work schedule is still kicking my but but at least my neck is better now, lol. I figured it was about time I got some life in this tank. I was out picking up some things I needed today and I came across a 5 gal fluval spec and it was 25% off so I picked it up. Its easier and cheaper than getting the finnex the way I wanted it. The finnex has been cycling for some time now so I'm thinking if I just swap the contents over I should be good. I'm going to work on the stand for it tonight so there will be some pics to come.

Looks good Gabe! Sorry to hear about the problems with the AIO. If you need a hand building the stand, just give me a call.

Thanks Scott. It's really not a stand, it's more of a platform for the tank to sit on to make it a little more interesting. We can definitely stand around a saw a drink some beers though. I think it's better this way anyway since I have a little more room for some macro. It sucks that I lost my money though, I tried the give the guy the benefit of the the doubt and give him the opportunity to come through and now I'm past the window to submit a paypal dispute.
