Gabe's nano in 90

That stinks. Where'd you buy it from? eBay?

No it was a guy on a forum that was selling them. I bought one for a 20L from him that I got and this was a second one that never made it. He won't respond anymore and now doesn't go on the forum anymore. His work was great but what does that matter if he doesn't deliver on the product. Oh well, chalk that up to another life lesson. Between the finnex and that I could have bought the fluval already.

Well bad luck strikes again. I finally decided how to set up the lighting so that it will look good and ordered up the heatsink for the LEDs. The heatsink got here yesterday and it's the wrong one, lol. Now I'm waiting for them to get back to me. I did build the platform for the tank although I planned on having it stained by now. As I was building it I lost power for half the day which brought work to a halt. By the time the power came back on I had enough time to finish it but I've still got to sand and prep for stain but that won't happen till my next day off. Here is a pic of the platform so far.

Well finally headed in the right direction, the platform is all sanded and stained. It should have a couple coats of poly on it by tonight. The correct heatsink is on it way and I've nailed down exactly how I want to put the lights together. I'll get some pics up soon.

Awesome! Glad to hear things are starting to fall into place. Looking forward to seeing the updated pics...

Ok, so at this point I'm well disqualified from this contest but I figured I'll update any way, lol. I finally found some nice macro algae for the tank, that stuff was harder to find than I thought it would be. I'm housing a pair of clown in here temporarily until more permanent accommodations can be found so the pot will be coming out. I'm hoping to make the mangrove roots part of the aquascape once they grow in and I'll be adding some more macros as I find them. The permanent residents will be an electric blue hermit, a halloween hermit, a pompom crab, and a couple of sexy anemone shrimp. I still have to do some research to make sure all or some of that will do well in the tank but that is the wish list as of now. Once the clowns are out I'll move some stuff around and move in a yellow clown goby and I'll be adding some polyps and a couple maxi-mini carpets for the shrimp. The lights are still in the works I've just been short on time lately but I'll have them going soon. Ok time for some pics, let me know what you think.

I finally got my light together, it consists of 6 cree LEDs 2 XP-G cool whites and 4 XP-E royal blues on a dimmable driver. I made the light bar that mounts in the factory location and rests on the opposite edge of the tank. Here are some pics.

I'm thinking I made the light bar too tall and I'm thinking about cutting it down a bit. Please let me know you thoughts.

Your tank is looking GREAT! The height of the light bar looks fine in the pic. Lowering it, might draw your eyes to it instead of the tank.

Would you mind sharing the names of the macro algae you have in the tank?

Ok I finally got around to taking some pics. Here are the macros and their names.

Cymopolia barbata. There is a frag of pink birds nest in there too

Halymenia (dragons breath) one of my favs.

Blue scroll. It looks better than it does in the pic but still has some coloring up to and looks better top down.

Codium, looks more green than it does in the pic.

Red grape (botryocladia)

Blue ochtodes, it had a bit of a rough start and I thought I'd lose it but it's starting to look good now.

Red titan

Red mangrove, eventually I want to make the root system part of the aquascape. Slowly but surely its getting there.

Iridescent blue fuchea, I think one of my snails are snacking on this one.

Everything seems to be growing nicely which is noticeable from the first pics. I also upgraded the stock pump with a maxi-mini 606. If the front and rear covers are removed it just fits in the space for the pump. I also have a finnex 150w heater in there too, its over kill but its what I had on hand. I evaporate about one cup of water everyday and I top off manually. I swap out about a gallon of water about twice a week. So far this has been working well for me but I'm still trying to decide how best to utilize the filtration space. Please let me know if there are any suggestions or questions.

Love the Dragons Breath and the Blue Scroll. Looking forward to seeing those macros fill in.

Yeah that dragon's breath is sweet looking when the tip start to get that orange color. I've seen some pics of that blue scroll where it's an electric blue color, I hope I can get that out of mine eventually. The blue ochtodes is really nice too when it colors up, its a blue-purple when it's happy and is starting to get there. I wish my corals did as well, lol.
