I'm new here and to reef keeping. I live in Brisbane, Australia and have been into freshwater planted tanks and bred discus but this is next level. I've had a few people tell me it's easier than maintaining a high tech planted tank. I'm not buying it.

I bought a second hand aqua one mini reef 120 about two months ago which was supposedly cycled and had two clown fish. Appears to have had a copper treatment through it so I've been working to clear that including replacing the rock work.

Only have a couple of basic LPS corals at the moment, elegance, zoas, acan and gsp

Looking forward to building up my little reef and chatting with you all.

Cheers,
Sean

Welcome aboard Sean. I keep planted tanks too (low tech). The reefs are definitely more involved and much more expensive. They're worth it though. Nice looking tank by the way.
