Hi all,

I have been in the hobby for about 4 months and wanted to put up a picture of my tank for comments and criticism to see what people thought regarding overall health and placement. Also my trachy is really puffed and producing a white mucus is this normal or a sign of stress? Open to all comments.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome! Fantastic look to a reef, how long has it been slimming for? Looks sorta like if it got fed powered food, sloshing mucus in order to feed

Sliming for about a week. My cardinal is being trained onto pellets so there has only been aqua marine one pellets in tank and mysis every 2nd to 3rd day (storm feeding half cube) to stop him from starving. Also using Red Sea nutrition program a and b, as well as nopox if that makes a difference.

Is it slimeing constantly? It could be because the reef energy

Pretty much, if I use syringe to suck off it just produces more. Is it a sign that reef energy is upsetting it? Or just the opposite that it loves it and wants to get the nutrients?

I apologise I’m a bit new to this forum thing. Do you mean what is all of my equipment listed or would you like set up pics?

Good looking tank! I had a Trachyphillia do that same thing for a while. Never had any adverse issues with it. It did bother me for a while just because it looks snotty. Then one day it just started acting normal and only slimed and extended its tentacles during feeding. I'm not saying that you don't have a problem but if it is still doing well... let it ride. The last post up photo of her doesn't look positive, but it doesn't look all that bad as well. When they go, they go fast in my experience.
