I am looking at getting a LedZeal Mirage 150 in super blue. the guy there Kevin says he can put 1-10VDC ports to connect to apex or another controller. Am I the only one that thinks it would be a great addition or is this something you would be interested in aswell?

I’m asking them about adding a diffuser as well . Anyone have these and think it would be an improvement?

matters what the price is, mind sharing the link? the light itself looks good, similar to the orphek atlantik v4 lights being spread out like that and quality meanwell driver.
ledzeals website looks awful though and i dont know anyone using them so i would ask about the costumer service from ppl that do

Diffuser really isn't necessary, unless you don't like shimmer. At least with my layout. That's the superblue.

Have you seen any of the vids I posted on youtube?

Ledzeal.com
If you check out my youtube channel, I've put a few vids up about the mirage x200 with superblue layout.
I designed that layout. Here is a link you can follow to my channel.
I was the first person to get the mirage lights, as i was in discussions with kevin for over 2 years about it, and the designs. X300 is a bit bigger and has 96 leds.
I've got 4 x200 over my 8x3x2 400g, 15 inch off the water, peak intensity is 35% per channel and I've got 300 par spread evenly across the entire bottom even with a black bare bottom.

Only place to order I know of is their website.
The website really isn't set up for retail, as they do more commercial sales ( almost exclusively in hydroponics) the reef light is like an unwanted stepchild lol in that little to know energy is spent prompting.
[email protected] is the person I deal with. I've bought a couple lights from them over the past 5 years.
One real nice thing is they itemize the purchase.
Light cost, taxes, shipping all broken down into detail.

makes more sense now, if they are big in horticultural leds it will translate easily over to the aquarium market as well, do you know pricing on any of the lights? Wanted to compare it with the orphek icon compact as that light seems a bit more tested. Do you also know what brand leds are used and/or the wattage rating

The Details are best answered by Kevin, but I know shipped the x200 is less, or close the the icon compact.
That's around 400.00 right. I believe shipped will be something around 350.

the orphek icon compact is $650... at least it matches my white stand better and has a mount, lol. It uses almost double the amount of leds as the x150 but is matched at that wattage level. i see this but idk this website and its out of stock so idk if it also got the ole pandemic price bump like everything else. not their fault if it did as that crap screwed everyone over

I dont think the actual light is more due to pandemic, but there was a shipping cost increase.

Please don't hold this number as factual, but since the x200 is around 400.00 to your door. Id say the x150 is going to be around 300. Give or take to your door. What's your tanks size?

Now one thing to remember the led count isn't a real good way to judge the efficiency.
As I stated before I'm running my 8x3x2 400g off only 4 x200 and they peak at only 35% per channel.

100% true if running them with multiple panels at low percentage, i have a nuvo ext 50 so i needed a 30" by 24" footprint, i had a led bar, and i just liked the look of the orphek and their involvement on this forum. they did offer me atlantik v4 upgraded with wifi modules for 450 but i decided to go with the preorder icon compact at 580. they gave me an open box mount for $60 as well so it wasnt a bad package but i also didnt even know about the ledzeal lights

these looked promising and the price is amazing and looks controllable with the meanwell driver (i would try to double check that though) but idk anyone using them at all

i find there are a lot of good priced leds if you look around but not much testing done so more of a gamble. they could be hidden gems though. i am also looking into buying the orphek or3 clone today with same layout and dual 5watt leds (i think they said lumiled but need to double check that)

Look at the quanta bars

I would have gone with a single x200 or x300 for that tank myself.

I'm a big fan of the orphek as well, only drawbacks I saw on the previous gens was the antenna, and the control module that had to be bought separately. I also feel the price could be a little more competitive, but I do believe the icons have come down to the same range as the radions ect.

Another great option is the ati straton but that is also over priced in my opinion

agreed the new straton pro looks very promising as well especially the smaller model but we will have to wait for that. im not going to say my orphek icon is perfect by any means and does have an antenae but isnt actually needed as ive tested that already discoball effect does occur though at the far edges of the light reach as i am only using 1 on a 30"x24" tank.
I think straton was the best with there lens over the entire fixture to help mitigate it as well as a ton of leds being used
