of my cloudy water! Over 1 week now.
Well, yes. Just a few months old. But this bacterial bloom has been hanging around for a little over a week. I just want to come home from work this week to clear water. I'm being impatient I know.Is it a tank you just set up?
White. No dosing as of yet.White or green cloudiness?
If it's white then it's bacterial bloom while green is algae bloom. Either way what are u dosing in the tank?
30 gallon change happening tomorrow. You could try a little water change and see if it clears up
Yeah, hoping to wait this one out.Uv filter can help but most likely it will go away on its own after whatever source expires.
RSCP. But starting tomorrow I'm doing a WC with Fritz RPM.You didnt happen to use seachem vibrant salt did you?
Foggyness should disappear with good mechanical filtration.
Done. In the sump with the cheato ok?If it's a bacterial bloom add a airstone.
I read that thread and that why I know it's bacterial. The algae is here also, but my nutrients are so low because I think my nutrient export is very agressive so it's a pretty weak invasion compared to some folks tanks I've seen. The hair algae is pale and the snails are making pretty quick work of it so far.I had just such a bacterial bloom in my 220. Couple two-three weeks, and it went away on its own. Water-changes can help, but they're less effective than they would be against a non-living cloudiness, as A) you're adding fresh nutrients for the bugs to feast on, and B) the little buggers are breeding.
My bacteria began to fade away pretty much on its own _just_ in time for an algal bloom to show up - and it's a thousand times worse.
