Gimmito's 450 Gal L-Shaped Display

Gen dropped off my water resevoir tower for the main display. It measures 14"x9"x42" and holds about 23 gallons. It will allow me to go a week without having to refill it.

The water tower in place. I also got to plumb in the bio pellet reactor (Reef Octopus SR-140), I plumbed the outlet of the reactor directly into the feed line into the skimmer. I"ll have to play with the flow to get it dialed in.

Also hooked up the Davey Jones Skimate Locker.

Gen also modified my frag racks. They were accumilating too much detritus inder the racks, so Gen routed them out and made different feet for more flow.

I also scored a couple of Ecotech MP10's from Bryan (SeminoleCPA). I'll use one on the 40 gal fuge and the other on the RSM.

No wiper yet, ran out of money, LOL. I'd like to get one soon though. I was gonna order a tower but I'm kinda thinking about a little DIY project for fun.

If you have access to the acrylic, table saw, long clamps, & Weld on. It definitely doable. In my case,I don't have the time, so I paid the two bills to get it done. :wink:

The first time recharging my Kati Ani resins. The Kati resins use a diluted mixture of muriatic acid and is slowly dripped for 30-45 minutes via a carboy. The Ani resins use a diluted mixture of sodium hydroxide and is slow dripped the same way. The resins are then flushed until zero TDS is achieved.

What is that for? Is this done for when it runs regularly?

Yes, the model 5 Kati Ani resins typically last 2,500 gallons before they need recharging. I try not to let the TDS get above 10 before recharging.
