Gen dropped of the ATO tanks for the FT and QT. :xd:

Great reactors!! My question is when does the equipment stocking stop and the fish/coral stocking start lol! This thing will run itself by the time you're done I'm sure lol

LOL...I heard great things about Geo reactors.

You can never have enough toys. ;)
I'm conditioning the hydo sponge right now (it should be ready in a couple of weeks). I'm waiting to place a order w/my buddy Mike who has the wholesale fish accounts.

I thought I would post some updated pics of the fuge. I changed out the atinics and and added 3 Giesseman mid day bulbs w/one aqua blue+. I received my vortech mp10 back from Ecotech Marine (now whisper quite), & added 10 peppermint shrimp.

Why peppermint shrimp for the fuge? Btw could you pm me a link to where you got your sea grass and such thanks

Why peppermint shrimp for the fuge?
I remembered listening to a podcast that interviewed the curator of the Smithsonium. The curator mentioned they used gravity fed refuguims over their displays and stocked them w/peppermint shrimp. The peppermint shrimp will produce larvae that would feed the tank naturally. This will aid in keeping anthias which I plan to keep. Also, I'm hoping to stock mysis shrimp in there also.

Just incase anybody else is interested in seagrass or other unique macroalgae.

Nice and did you say what substrate you used ? Or does the sea grass not need anything special?

It depends on the sea grass used. I used shoal grass (Halude Wrightii sp). As for substrate, I used a 2" bed of Eco complete by CaribSea and another 3" mixed sand bed on top of it. The shoal grass derives it's nutrients from the Eco complete and requires strong flow and good lighting.

I picked up some frags from my buddy mario (Xcaret). They're mostly sps: Red planet, pink sand dollar, purple monster, blue milli, etc. I dipped them in CoralRx and intercepter. The FT is starting to look pretty full. :D
