Gimmito's 450 Gal L-Shaped Display

3 screens does have its merits. ;)

Funny you should ask about the McCoskers...I just released them into their new home. Did I mention a fellow reefclub member is breaking down his tank ? He's giving me a mystery wrasse and a red filimentous wrasse. I'm think of picking up two more of the latter ones so I could have a trio.

Be careful with the Mystery wrasse. Often they don't do well with other wrasses long term.

Thanks for the heads up Brett. I'm QT'ing the mystery wrasse, red filamentous wrasse, & a lawn mower blenny in the QT. I'm thinking off adding a couple more red filimentous wrasses to form a trio. I can't get a good pick right now, but will when I get a chance.

Here's some frags I put in today (frog in the blender, sand dollar, Leng Sy cap, etc.).

I guess I officially have a reef tank. :D

Looks like you got some nice stuff Jim. Those tangs seem to be keeping busy too.

I tried borrowing a technique from Tony Vargas by attaching a siphon hose to a fork (or a multi tool). A simple, yet effective way to disturb the upper layer of the sanded and siphon detritus while doing water changes.

Johnny (Jestersix) was kind enough to come down and help me create a wicked rockscape for the rear of the tank. I wanted something that would would arch from the rear right to the middle of the tank. Here's some progresive & tank shots.

Your rocks look perfect Jim, I see lots of nice places for corals.
