Girlfriend Made Me Buy It

WOW your tank is epic!! Congrats!

Oh and the Achilles is my favorite fish ever!

Hey Dave, Dog Boy Dave From Florida here. Welcome to RTR. Good to see you back in the hobby. Here is a picture of the stag you sold my buddy in Pensacola about 10 years ago. It was a nice small colony about 6 inches when he got it. It has gone crazy in this tank for about the last five years. Its about three feet accross the back as shown.

Wow!! Beautiful tank!! Love all the fish!!

Love the tank and all the fish...it looks amazing!! Very cool you hooked up a camera...looking forward to seeing it with the lights on :)

I enjoyed the cam of the tank! Very nice. Where did you get the cam setup because I would like to do something similar.

Dog Boy Dave -- That is Awesome. So glad some of the corals from the old days are still around. So much of the stuff coming in these days is small aquacultured pieces. Those big stags never show up anymore. And yours is not only large but just magnificent looking!!!

Zemus - The cam is an Axis 214. It's a pricey toy, but for those of us running heavy blue tanks (Radiums in my case) the automatic white balance is invaluable for being able to enjoy and study the tank. A friend who fell in love with my camera just found a couple of New Open Boxed ones on ebay and picked them up for 1/2 price. Still a pretty penny, but if you are like me where you can enjoy your tank from anywhere without being in front of it then the cost was justifiable. And while the girlfriend doesn't have any idea of the cost of the camera, she loves it as she watches the tank all day long from work :)

Absolutely stunning! And I just saw you wave at me on the video feed, lol!

I have an office/library upstairs, but I share that with my Macaw. So I have a major work project going on, working 18 hour days from home. So when things like this come up where I need to concentrate for longer periods than the macaw will allow I set up a desk and work in front of the tank. So occasionally I hear the camera move (camera is not loud, I am just sitting next to it). Of course I sit in front of the tank looking at it this much and I keep seeing things that need to be mounted, corals that need to be moved, and my angels nibbling at things that I wish they would leave alone.

Thanks.

That camera is stunnIng.
Thanks so much letting us all enjoy your aquarium. Kind of a sequarium on the net.
