@vetteguy53081 @Jay Hemdal @MnFish1

Came home from work and found my little guy laying on his side barely breathing. No new editions in over a month, 70 gallon tank. All other fish are fine. I was able to scoop him out to acclimate him to my hospital tank. Does anyone know whats wrong with them? Doing a panel on water now, it was fine on Sunday when I tested last but Im double checking

It is always impossible to assess any fish with video and at least pics plus history such as loss of color, loss of appetite, etc

Wow. One of the holy grail dwarf angel

How long have you had it? What does she eat?

Can you not see the picture and video? Fish has been with me 6 months eating completely fine no noticiable bullying and was completely fine last night

Is fish breathing? Its moribund and near if not already death. I do see evidence of nipping on upper and lower fins and questions if fish was being harassed?
What other tankmates in tank?
Any noticeable loss in appetite or heavier breathing since Sunday?

Barely, very shallow. And no bullying that Ive seen, I did notice the fins. He was eating fine last night, like a pig actually. In with a mel wrasse, engineer goby, dwarf lion, marine betta, butterfly, maroon clowns, chromis, and a mandarin

The fin thing is new, I swear he didnt have them last night. I inspect my fish visually all the time to make sure they are heathy and saw no concerns with him

Looking at him under the light in the hospital tank looks like he has patches where his color is fading

My Hail Mary in situation like this is to use hydrogen peroxide bath before a clean QT. I had to do that on my new emperor angel that I suspected to have both flukes and the beginning case of velvet, but I made sure that there was absolutely no external wound before doing so. This suggestion is likely not a popular one but like I said - Hail Mary

Melanurus or clowns possible suspects and I cant see patches you mention but may be bite marks. I dont see using any dips or peroxide as a cure or antidote. When moribund, there is not much , even air stone that will revive a fish in this state. Dip will likely put an end to the fish

So they have been in the tank together a few months no issues. The maroons keep to themselves, no aggression from them unless a fish goes near his nem

He was swimming around this morning before work and my boyfriend fed the tank at noon and didnt see him acting weird. It just seems so sudden and out of the blue. Unless theres something else attacking fish, i have a coral banded shrimp that can be pretty rude at times to other shrimps, so Indont have any with her. She also murdered an arrow crab. She hangs out in the cave with the angel a lot

Yeah Im not sure its anything illness related, he does look beat up

Would not be shrimp which is delicate. Looking at your pic on my larger screen, I do see below its gill/chest are an injury of some sort and may even be bite mark.

He flipped over and his other fin is almost gone. I have no idea what did that to him. Could he maybe have ran into my lionfish on accident? I just dont see my maroons doing that, they stay by their nem and havnt bit a single tank mate or bullied any of them. My female chases my chromis occasionally but it looks like she just likes breaking their schooling up, nothing super aggressive. Not saying its not possible but very out of character for them as they are very peaceful, which is odd considering they are clowns and maroons at that! Could my mel wrasse do that much damage? Also have a blue azure damsel, and the marine betta but my understanding is they are peaceful and out only attempt to eat something small. Ive had two firefish go MIA before this so Im wondering whats attacking my fish

Not much to add - with other fish being healthy, and no introductions, and no real outward illness - agree with the others - that its trauma related. And Maroon Clowns can do a lot of damage without being seen. Sorry about your fish loss - I would carefully watch the rest of the tank mates for any symptoms or problems. The lion would be a potential suspect as well. Best wishes
