I just orderd my clownfish yesterday (my tank is cycled) They should be here tomorrow i'll post some pics, After about 2-3 weeks if all prams are stable i'll think about adding my corals

Should I start with acans then? I'm pretty scared of buying zoa's due to the toxin
I was the same way. I actually threw one out do to all the warnings. A crab had come up chipped all the glue out from underneath it. I didn't want to touch it.
THEN.. I was buying a 4 zoanthids at a store. I was like "dude you are manhandling those zoas. You shouldn't be touching the polyps at all." He says,"I do this all day. Still alive, right?"
Just don't squeeze them. They don't spit the toxin at you like a spitting cobra. If you work with your hands and get cuts. Sure I would stay away from them if you wanted to handle the barehanded. They are in the tank once you put them in there. On a frag plug. So just use the putty or glue. Stick it to LR. Done!

Green star polyps & a leather coral are what I started with. The GSP are out of control & I wish I would never have put in my tank at times but it did survive all my newbie tribulations.
Something I wish I would have learned about sooner is Florida Ricordea and gorgonians (See KP AQuatics)....these 2 things have been very colorful and low maintenance for me in my first year. I never saw them in any store near me so they weren't even on my radar. I would have put in waaaay more ricordea....well I will be, I've been slowly mowing out my GSP to a small patch by itself.

Just got my pair of clownfish in the mail... They like to chase eachother around (they're about the same size)
They swim around the tank a ton! they're both probably 1.25 inches maybe less at the moment they're in a 10 gallon planning to add zoas, acans, frogspawn deffintly going to upgrade to a 30 gallon cube in the future (5-6) months down the line when they get big. is this normal behavior for clownfish? Should i be scared of them fighting I got them together same size. When should I feed them? A day a few days? A week?? I just got them in the mail around 30 minutes ago my water parameters are
0 ammonia
0nitrate
0nitrite
Ph 7.9/8.0
Salinity 1.24/1.25
Water temp 76-84
Is my flow to strong for them? I have a hydor krollia nano 240 gph
Filter fluval c2 power filter with active carbon

Clowns are weird sometimes, but since you have a pair. The chances are most likely they are both males to start. They are bickering right now as to who will be female. Takes about 6 months from what I have gathered.
Clown's traits can range from submitting in a corner pointing straight down. Twitching like a seizure to show territorial dominance. Leaning against the glass in "THEIR" spot to sleep. Swimming without a wobble shows a sign of their swim blatter might be messed up. So if you ever see them swimming like a "normal" fish. There might be a concern.

Your temp is out of control though. Fluctuating that much is redic. 1 degree should be the minimal. Definitely not 8° swings. Get a Aqueon Pro 50w. I barely get a 0.1° temp swing in both the 40B & 13g.

I'm amusing my thermometers are junk, What do your recommend? I keep my water at about 78 on the heater

78F seems to be the perfect temp from my two friends. One being a LFS owner 27 year experience. The other 15 years with a 210g, 120g, & 60g.
Mine is set at 78.6F.

Nice choice of filter BTW. I have the C4. Already did some upgrading to it. Took out the carbon bag and put a block of Marine Pure in there and a lightly filled fine holding particle bag with Purigen in that same holder. Beast mode! My nitrates are at 0-5 the most after a full week of heavy feeding 2 or 3x a day.

Get an Aqueon Pro 50watt heater. (Not the preset one)

I'll look into it! I just hope my fish arent dead in the morning still scared that something will happen to the little guys... My tank has been cycling for about a month with bio-spira and seachem sustainability dosed them both about a 3-4 days ago

I have no clue about bacteria in a bottle. One table shrimp in the sand bed. Half hanging out so it does not float and let it rot. That always did the trick!

They are cute little guys! Definitely both male by their size, but correct in that one will become "dominant" and turn female. You'll have a nice bonded pair ;)

If your tank has been cycling for a month, it *should* be ok. I've used bio-spira as well in QT's and it worked nicely for me. Have you seen any of the filmy algae yet? That's a good sign things are moving along.

If you want a little piece of mind, you could grab an ammonia badge to throw in there for a couple weeks while your tank adjusts to the new bio-load. That way you can hopefully catch any ammonia spikes before they can do much damage.

Seachem ammonia alert is correct. They do have a combo pack with a pH alert for an extra $5. Those are two readings that people complain about the most with API.
