How much would you spend on t5s before? I have a few t5 systems that I consideredI am one who does not like to go cheap on lights.
I was a halide guy for forever and now run all leds on 3 systems 4 tanks. I run 16hds, 8 of them and 2 xr15's and will soon have 4.
I ran a nano with a black box for a couple years with good results.
For small systems I like the 16hds.
This is my 18" 20g nano cube for reference. The 16hds will grow anything you want and you can start with one and add if needed.
You can get one for under $200 used. These are quite good for a small puck type light.
Radions are $'s yes but you can always sell them down the road and get back most of your money if you want.
Note: Noophsyche contacted me and wanted to give me one to run on my nano but I said no because I did not want to disturbed the system as I have excellent growth.
Note: I setup this system because a few locals said they tried the 16's and they wont grow coral, so go figure. They dont have much to say when I show them pics, lol.
This nano just turned 9 months so thier is alot you can do with the 16hds.

Whatever you want dollar wise. How much would you spend on t5s before? I have a few t5 systems that I considered
I agree that the AI Prime 16’s are excellent. I was also running one on my nano and was super happy with it. Noopsyche also reached out to me and asked me to try out their light, so I figured why not, and I’ve now been running it almost a year and I’ve been super impressed with it. Excellent spectrum, tons of power. I still have the AI Prime, but have no intentions of switching back to it at the moment. Without a doubt the AI Prime has better features and is way more user friendly, but in terms of the quality of the actual light, the Noopsyche is excellent.I am one who does not like to go cheap on lights.

The Noopsyche is app controlled, you have full control over each color and can create custom schedules/spectrums. The app is pretty bare bones, but you can set the intensities of each color channel on custom schedules.J t

Its 15 but I'm fine with t5s going over since I have plantsWhatever you want dollar wise.
I still have a giesemann 6 bulb t5 36" unit.
Is the tank 24"? If not t5's wont work.
Hi there - would you be able to share a screenshot of the light? I got a new IM Nuvo 15 and it's cycling right now. I brought back the marine fluval light and I'm looking around here to see what's a good setting fro coral growth. I really only want hammers and torches and maybe some zoas. The halo version is earlier model or Fluval 2.0 whereas the Fluval Nano Marine is essentially Fluval 3.0. They removed the aluminum heat sinks, made it sleeker, and light output much much stronger.
I'm actually going to pick up my package from Amazon that is the light and having been in the hobby for quite a while and having most lights from high-end (Radion XR30 Gen 4) to Kessil A160WE to Lominie A20, these lights are probably the light you're looking for!
Once you get a larger tank, then invest in a higher quality light, in the sense of spread and light intensity, but even then not a lot of people run their high-end Radions or Reef Breeder lights beyond 50% intensity unless you have a really tall tank or need to grow SPS on the sandbed.
I run my Fluval Nano Marine at:
Blue, Violet, Cyan at 100%
Pink at 7% but you can lower this (it's just for visual appeal)
White ramp up to 25-35% during peak
(I used the PAR distribution photos from an old R2R thread about the light as a guide)
