Good Morning!

But FL is infested :( at least the chocolate makes it worth it ;)
We had a mild problem with roaches. The house was clean, the doors sealed tight and the exterminator came. No improvement. I finally read that roaches can travel underwater for 15 minutes. I poured a little insecticide down the drains and the problem was solved. All of the water gets recycled for reclaimed sprinkler water, so I figured it was OK. I hate roaches so much!

Good morning
I was just reading that reef keeping causes madness. I guess it's too late for me.

Good morning everyone!

@WVNed I'm currently supporting research that postulates that the reef keeping hobby makes you smarter.

Besides, there are many types of genius - I'm sure that you are included in at least one of them.

I blame the crabs.

Good morning everyone! Nice weather over here. I think? That's what weather thing told me...
Finally got around to fixing my rocks in the tank. looks awful still. Even worse... Still haven't found my crab, only spotted a molted claw. Looks like it might be a gorilla. But it hasn't eaten anything. Not even my clove that I thought got munched on. it's a tiny feller. Cloves are just weird...

Good morning. Been several days since I posted. Got my daughter and her emotional support cat moved into her dorm room.

Don’t get me started on roaches! When my daughter was 2 we were in Puerto Rico. While out site seeing she had to go to the bathroom. We stopped at the only place available, a gas station, cause you can’t tell a 2 year old to hold it. The bathroom was full of hundreds of roaches. They were on the ceiling, walls, floor. It traumatized her for life. To this day she is terrified of them.

Well, we are now cat foster failures and are owners of a new cat. And this cat, now named Azriel, is something else. This morning he jumped a 7 foot jump from the floor to the top of the built in entertainment center. He is very active and always getting into something! After reading up more on Bengal Cats, I think he is at least a Bengal mix.

Early this morning, before the sun even thought of coming up I walked through this cemetery that was built in 1803. I wanted to see if there was anyone I knew in there.

I love walking through old cemeteries. Explored some really old ones beside the ruins of some Abbies while vacationing near London. I love the history behind these types of things.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Top-O-The Mernin’ To Y’all!
Working on some little projects here this morning before the rains show up. Mostly car related stuff.
We bought a roof basket for the Escape a while back but I never got around to mounting it till today. It will come in handy on our little “excursions” if we find a “treasure” that won’t fit in the back seat. It only came with a half fairing to cut down on wind noise but it still roars over 60mph so I’m fabricating extensions for both ends of it. Should quiet it down a little. Also doing a vinyl wrap on all 3 pieces to match the paint of the car.
Currently, a new “hotter” performance tune is also being uploaded into the Escape ECU. Should be a screamer on E85 fuel but still be able to run 93 octane most of the time. Yup, Mikey likes his cars FAST! :p

Fairing is done. Much quieter but I still need to “tweak” some things. I think I need to raise the back of the basket about an inch so I’ll have to make some spacers. Too humid right now though. Tomorrow another day!

Since you don't have any links to your tank, I had no idea until just now that you're the famous guy keeping the world's oldest reef tank. Well done! I love your tank!
Yes I know. I am a living Legend in my own mind. I am right up there with Lincoln, Einstein, Jacques Cousteau and Otis the town drunk who hangs out in front of the corner drug store.

Really well done! It looks like it came that way.

How long have you had it now? You must have a few really old fish!

Thank You John!
Im really particular about our vehicles although you’d never know it looking at them right now. Every time I plan on detailing them, the storms hunt me down. LOL!

WOW!!!
Took the Escape into town to pick up some take out Thai food. It took over 3 hours to upload the new tune and it was well worth it. Went from 11lbs of boost on previous tune to 15lbs on new tune. Shift points much more crisp, redline went from 6k rpm to almost 7 before it started to fall off and speed limiter has been deleted. Tomorrow it gets new hotter spark plugs, a cooler thermostat and it’s first tank of E85 gas.
So proud of that little girl. Rain or shine, it gets detailed now.
:p :p:p:p:p < That’s how much I’m smiling right now!

Good morning! Roaches. Such a nice topic. I grew up in Florida. I'm having horrible flashbacks. We still have them in Tennessee, but nothing like Florida, where they grow the size of your shoe. I remember opening a box one time.....NO....never mind. ;Nailbitingo_O

I always thought of myself as fairly long term in the hobby until I ran across @Paul B...makes me feel like a sissy with my soon-to-be 13 years! Keep the stories coming, @Paul B. We love them!

Good luck to you all sending kids back off to college. Fortunately, my boys never had to deal with college life during a pandemic. I can't imagine the challenges now. I hope all goes well. :)

Good morning
Time for Jeanna to go back too. She has to help with the new student orientation.
The breaking up of the cat pack will definitely make it easier with the birds. I have to lock them in the office when I leave now. We got them some nice toys. They think they are monsters that want to eat them.

Good Morning Reefies
road trip yesterday.
one of our fellow reefies (f i s h y) lives 5-6 hours away.
me up here in the mitten, him gown in hoosier (great movie) land.
we've been meeting half way. lunch, cocktails, great conversation, exchanging reef critters.
so i had a very nice yesterday.
today i'm without supervision.
one boss on vacation, the other out of town for a funeral.
in my line of work, i've always worked flex time.
except for current employment under new upper management.
they've gone all corporate.... sorta.
work hours are between 5-830am start time to no later than 630pm to get your 10-12hr's in each day.
except of course in an emergency ( read that as something broke and they need you to play hero and stay late until it's fixed)
notice the early start time as most of the supervisors are morning peeps.
i am not, (except during hung season when i get to go play with loaded firearms.)
i used to start at 9-10am and work and work till 9-10pm.
but now "you can't stay late with out supervision,";Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious
my supervisors were fine with my flex time. they know i don't need my hand held.:)
upper management is not.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
so thinking maybe i need to contact upper management and inform them i'm without supervision.
should i take another day off?
play hard.
stay safe my friends.
