what's an american car these days?

As a Geezer, to me a Toyota, Suburu, Volkswagon, Fiat, Rolls Royce, Excaliber, Volvo etc. will always be foreign cars even if they are made in Brooklyn. It's just me.

As a kid the only foreign cars we had were Volkswagon, which by the way were ordered by Hitler to be made for the "Folks".

Toyota's, I think are still built in the factory that built the Japanese Zero planes. Yes I know, they don't do that any more but it still is in the back of my head with a lot of other useless stuff.

They are good cars as all of them are. But I will only have a Jeep, Ford, Chrysler or GM. Almost none of them are built in America but to me they will always be American as I am.

It's just me and I can't get by it. Many of my close friends drive foreign cars and I have no ill will towards them. They make fun of me. Here in America we can buy whatever we want or like.

I also only buy American sneakers and those are only are a very few made by NuBallance so it is very limited.
I have 2 Jeeps. Jeep was very instrumental in us winning WW2 and I am mad with Willys for going out of business and selling the company. I am also mad at Chrysler for merging with Fiat or Damsler but I don't control the worlds economy (thank God)

Good Morning. On my walk this morning nothing special happened (except the only cars that passed me were a Suburu and Mercedes, both friends of mine going to work)



The sun was just coming out of the golf course and a large flock of geese flew overhead honking. Why do they have to honk? There is nothing in front of them

Morning All!
Another hot one here today. Mid 90’s with 100*+ heat index.
I got a cool project done yesterday. I assembled a “pre-fab” pergola over the BBQ grill to make “q’ing” in the rain a little more enjoyable.
Off to buy chicken food this morning then some mowing if I can beat the heat.

This morning I saw three deer. I walked about 10' from them. There were 2 "girl" deer and a baby.
I was brought up a City kid so we called them Girl deer and we only saw them in a Zoo.
I know that they are Doe's but to me they will always be girl deer.

I have never been PC and I am sure I won't change now but I am very respectful so the deer I saw today were Lady deer because I think thats what they would like to be called.......I think...Maybe.

I was laying in bed last night waiting for sleep to take over, and i thought' hey, i will be right there why don't i just roll north into Canada Sunday'. I got up, looked into it for an hour, finally realized that the border is semi closed due to ...,that's right. never mind. did make reservations for a night in Flint and a place next to the locks in SSM, and joined H.O.G. before i resumed horizontality. Wednesday is here and Saturday is on the way.

chrysler merged with fiat which then merged with peugeot and then changed the name to stellantis.

volkswagon, nissan, toyota all have assembly plants in america.

mazda co-owns plants with ford here in michigan.

Seriously though, I guess this is why classical cars cost as much as new cars. My sister had a 71' chevelle , if I got the year wrong and she saw this. I'd get my butt kicked. Most of it from what I know was all genuine. And that was one expensive car. Sadly they sold it, because it was a huge gas hog, and keeping it in the garage wasn't right. But, that's usually what you do with a classic. Spin it around the block once a week.

Good morning, espresso for me this morning. Still wondering if I can have skunks with my melanurus wrasse, and how many times a day he would need to be fed to leave them alone. I may as well not risk it.

If I had the place to keep it I would get a Model A Ford. I live near the sea and it would rot away in minutes If I got one and kept it outside.

They are not that hard to get, but need to be garaged and I keep my new car in there.

Good morning. I pulled my one and only coral out of my reef tank cause it was not opening up after 3 rd treatment of DinoX. Put it in my Fowler tank in a basket so my angels and butterflies don’t eat it. Looks like the dinos are starting to go away. But I’ve been there before and then they come back. Time will tell.

That's at Disney. A late good morning. I hope everyone is well. I am trying to get rid of a few frags today and my LFS doesn't want them. I'm surprised, since they are Orange Bam Bams and Beauty and The Beast palys. Much nicer than the standard purplish, everything looks the same stuff they usually sell. Time for more coffee! Everyone have a great day!

There may be one at Disney but we were at one of the Great Lakes when we saw this one. I do know that, just don’t remember which one. I have been to Disney only once in my life and that was just this summer.

Good morning! My new LED has finally been shipped and should be here....sometime. I have a FedEx tracking number, but the website is experiencing "technical difficulties." Great.

At least it's Wednesday...I sure hope it isn't Tuesday! I know it's Wednesday because everyone in the neighborhood has their garbage cans out.

But that's honestly a great way to start the day! With the surprise gift of one day closer to the weekend. Like I saw in a movie once, a woman gives here 40 yo daughter a big gift. She tells her that she's not 40, she's only 39. There was a mistake on her birth certificate and they never told her. (I don't remember why). I want that gift. Surprise! There was a 15 year mistake on your birth certificate!

I am so stoked!
i have a route picked out for the weekend, I have reservations, the yard is mowed, i have everything i need for the trip, i have plenty of time today and tomorrow to detail the bike so she looks her best. I slept last night with the windows open which is the most restful way there is, if you hear more crickets than traffic, and there is a smile on my face today.
I hope you find more joy than aggravation in your day. If it doesn't work out that way i hope you can chalk it up to another one of those days that you won't have to do later. the frozen is melting, fishies!! the light brings breakfast!!
