My favorite Christmas decorations may be a bit non traditional, but when I grew up in the northeastern US and endured the freezing, snow-covered winters I always dreamed of palm-trees wrapped in Christmas lights. We have lived in Florida for over 20 years and I still haven't gotten over the true enjoyment of actually seeing them every year at Christmas!

Girlfriend's parents said they heard I was a really good cook ( thanks for putting me on the spot I thought). It turned out better than I hoped and they were impressed !

I was just explaining to my daughter a couple of days ago how to her palm trees may just be boring trees that grow in every yard, but even after leaving Virginia for the south 30 years ago they represent somewhere tropical and warm with a beautiful beach nearby. I was thinking that just today.

Still very tired from the holiday week. Still need to get breakfast going. I have clean aquarium glass again. Still need to get the back though and work on removing algae from around the silicon trim. The flipper doesn't seem to get those areas well. Who would have thought?

Good morning. Planning on some tank maintenance today but we’ll see if that actually happens. Want to go to LFS to see if they have any of the goby/pistol shrimp pairs they were advertising for Christmas Eve day specials. I have a feeling I already missed out on those.

Greetings again, happy to be in bed til 10:30. then coffee and tax planning til now. so i missed morning greetings. like Paul it is better late than tomorrow. looking forward to spending lots of time spending lots of time during the rest of the year.
 
Traveling day, so I'm late! Early good morning for Monday! Had a great visit with the Nashville family. Kids were so cute. Teddy got an assortment of power lawn equipment toddler style and had a blast. They all make lots of noise and light up. My favorite part was my son yelling "turn that blower OFF, it's driving me crazy!!!" Oh, the memories. ;Hilarious Grammie and Papa bought not only the loud blower, but the equally loud weed eater and chainsaw. ;Hilarious Son had them on the wish list....I don't think he realized they would make that much noise, especially inside the house!

Fish tanks did fine. I wish I had installed the nano ATO months ago...why didn't I do that? :rolleyes: It's holding the water line quite nicely. At least I don't have to be the human ATO for the BioCube anymore...:rolleyes:

Back to semi-reality tomorrow. At least it's another short week! :)

Yesterday was LFS crawl. Seems most are only open weekends, and I always work every weekend. lol
Today will be my do nothing, watch movie day. My but might even hurt for the hours I'm going to sit in my chair today!
