Since your post about ducks this has been stuck in my head

Actually, I know all about those things, but I never thought about hunting with them although it would be hard to miss. The duck may be a little hard to find though.

I took 2/3 of the weeds out of the tank in the fish room this morning. I probably killed more pods than you ordered.
Some bristle worms too.

A friend recently asked me to send them some bristle worms so I have been collecting the worms I catch in a separate container. I'm questioning my process for selecting friends.

in other news the utility company put a "new" meter on the house last month.
this months bill is up over $100.
i'll be reaching out to them later today.

it's currently a balmy three degrees, not including the wind chill.

I finally placed my CUC order to restock my tanks . . . I went with Reef Cleaners again.

The best part was seeing the look on my daughter's face when I told her I just spent $100 on snails.

Good morning. Think I need to buy a new heater. I cleaned my salt mixing container and left the pump and heater sitting out on the counter to dry. This morning I see moisture inside the heater. No crack that I could see. I use the Eheim brand cause they are supposed to be good ones. Always something that I got to spend more money on.

Let me know what you think. I may wait another month or two and then order from them. Some of my hermits are HUGE now...they live in old turbo snail shells. I still see a few of the larger Florida cerith snails that I know came from RC. John is a good guy. Been working with him since about 2008.

Morning All!
Just spread 200lbs of salt on the driveway. I was picturing the UPS truck sliding down our driveway hill and ending up, either in the creek or in our living room.
Rain, freezing rain and sleet have stopped but it’s not going to get above 30* today. I may get brave and go out and install some Jeep parts today. Can’t leave the house because the roads are impassable. I’m going to have to get creative with dinner plans tonite.

Good Morning! i was going North a few miles for a weekend retreat but they are snowed in so that was cancelled. the weather is not supposed to get out of the 30's for a week so my usual plan of just letting the stuff melt on its own is not a good plan this time, i could try just rutting the car to the road but that doesn't work well when there is enough to get high centered like today. well the spiritual retreat time will be well spent with the shoveling, omm, scoop, omm, throw. well done grasshopper, wax on wax off. etc. im a lucky guy.

Good morning all! That UPS truck sliding down the driveway into the creek reminded me of something. When I got out of college there was this kid I knew from a wealthy family. They had a beautiful house on a hill overlooking a lake with a long driveway. The kid had been given a used Porsche for graduation, but it was stolen. A few of us were at his house a couple of months later looking at his new replacement car in the garage when someone else drove up and asked if we had seen all the commotion at the end of the driveway. We all turned and looked down the hill to see the police towing a Porsche out of the lake.
