Yes I guess but my ph dropped since cleaning it. Either that or I cleaning out my ato tank did it. No other changes.

I hate pulling out the whole skimmer! It never fails I crack my head on the cabinet, the stupid cord needs pulled out I wish I had a basement I would put all that stuff through the floor so I didn’t have to turn into a ground hog to work on the sump are.

Rant done!! Nice job on the cleaning !!

Good morning
No I am not dancing.
I was reading the thread about cyano and got a headache.

I have a bit of cyano and I will be darned if I can tell after reading several threads if I am supposed to put something into the tank or take something out. I have realized no one else knows either. Another bit of reef keeping magic.
It started when my skimmer venturi plugged but hasen't gone away.
I do find it interesting thinking back I would have had Chemiclean in the tank by now when I was young. Now I simply wait.

I have a strong urge to add some new livestock to the tank. I would just have to move it when the new one comes so I am holding off. It's hard.

All these threads use the word nutrients. It doesn't even seem to mean the same thing depending on the thread you are in. Every household chemical from bleach to urea has been dropped into a reef tank trying to capture the magic.

I just do water changes.
Works for me.

I hear you on the let out be strategy. Not sure what lights you have but I shifted mine to all blue for a week or so and that seems to make it disappear.

I tuned the light a bit. I am growing macro algae in my tank and didn't want to go all blue.
It isn't all over. Just a few patches.
