Fortunately they just pass through and don’t stick around. They can be very destructive and messy!

It's really cool, my parents own 40 acres in green lake, which is prime country up here. Absolutely beautiful lake. I believe it's the deepest inland non-man made lake in the country. And they have a really nice back porch with a bird feeder about 5 feet from it, and you can sit on the back porch and the turkeys will come right up to the porch, they dont mind you as long as you dont start walking towards them.

No turkeys close to my house, but down the road in the farm fields there's plenty.

Racoons on the other hand........oh boy! Go... A.....way!!!!
Trash pandas!

Came out the house the other morning and there sits a racoon chewing on my garden hose . . .:mad:

Oh boy! They are cute when little!
Had to stop the wife putting bird food out during the winter! It was "pandamonium" in the back yard! Lol

This guy was POd he/she couldn't reach the feeder.

Came back a couple years later and ripped it down. This feeder was over 8 feet off the ground. I could not touch it standing under reaching and I'm 6'2". He stood up and could no problem. It was just over his head. I watched him do it and was astonished. Was about 2 in the morning and I tried to get a pic. This is the best I could do while he sat there and filled up.

Edit: oops wrong last pic... fixed

In the 20 years plus we have lived in this house, I can count on 1 hand the number of trash pandas I have seen. Bears is another story....

I thought you was gonna say bigfoot!

I see turkey often along the back road of my hood. It's all wetlands back there. I see armadillo's, possum the occasional skunk & deer. However the raccoons are very bold around my place !
One of my neighbors made the mistake of feeding a rather large single raccoon. It would stand up on its hind legs and tap on her sliding glass door for food. A few weeks later, several baby raccoons were all standing up in a row on their hind legs tapping on her sliding glass door.:rolleyes:

Oh man, you never feed them! Now they know where to go for food!
