Good Morning!

Here too! Our little guy is ready to play in the hose again after naptime. I may join him!
Other than checking on the girls every few hours, I’m staying indoors today. When it’s this hot, we make “hen-sicles “ for them. Vegi’s frozen in a block of ice.
Ive been working my new(ish) hobby today. Watered and misted all of the orchids. I’m replacing the Ottlite with a downward facing floor lamp and another “true” LED grow bulb So I moved all of the tall ones to the dining room. The new lamp will go over the desk with all of the smaller orchids and Angela’s dwarf ( not sure if that’s PC or not but that’s what they called it at the nursery) Ficus tree.
I needed paracord to hang a butterfly feeder from the Mimosa tree so I went to Hobby Lobby. The Mimosa is in full flower right now and it gets covered in butterflies but the blooms don’t last long so when they start dropping, we hang a fruit feeder from the tree. Had a brainstorm and picked up two wall mount candle holders with mirrored backs. I hinged them together and made a backdrop for two of the smaller plants. Picture to follow!

The Good Lord just unleashed on us! Dumping rain, crazy wind and it got so dark, the street lights are on down the road.No power right now at our house but I’ve got my return pump going on battery backup. Internet at the house is out so I’m using my “personal hot spot”!

You sure that you don't live in Florida?? We get a daily dumping in rainy season.

Moved all of the fish and a lot of the rock into the new DT. It took me forever to catch that last chromis!
I'm a little worried about the CUC I put in today from Gulf Coast Eco. A large number of the dwarf ceriths have not moved. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Doc called, I have an appt at 10 tomorrow morning. Finally some answers!!!

Got the official "We want to hire you" phone call. I have about a week before I need to make a decision. I'll call the delay a blessing, as the big boss is unavailable until after the holiday. Still have an off feeling about it, even if the money is better. I should have a better picture by then.

Fingers crossed for the doc.

Is it a Zoom meeting? Then at least you don't have to get fully dressed. I did my job interview in a nice shirt, yoga pants and fuzzy slippers.

@CMMorgan / @BeltedCoyote I have one of those ThunderShirts for one of my dogs. It did nothing for her but she is generally a shy/nervous dog by nature so it's not like she's just afraid of one thing like thunderstorms. I tried everything with her like this shirt, drops, the stuff you plug in that's supposed to disperse through the room. Nothing worked. My hypothesis is that if your dog is normally happy go-lucky but has developed a fear of something then I bet this shirt works to calm the dog in that situation but if your dog has a shy/nervous disposition as an overall personality trait then this might shirt might not work. I would be curious to know the dogs this shirt was tested on during product development. I would say give it a try but keep your expectations low. :) Hopefully you have a friend that can lend you one instead of buying it. They're expensive.
I’ve got 2 thunder shirts if anyone is interested.

This morning like all mornings I took a walk on the beach behind my house. I walked east which is where no man has ever gone before. Well, no modern man.

After a few hours (10 minutes) I came across hieroglyphics from the distant past. I see these occasionally from the pleasicone era. (last Tuesday)

Now I was excited so I kept walking knowing that I had no food or water to drink and no weapon.

After a while I came across this burial mound.

From all the dead horseshoe crabs I assumed that that arthropod was somehow connected to their funeral rites.

Now I was so excited I kept going into the sunrise.

I came across this obvious love or mating ritual inscribed into the sand

Now it was time to head back to the stairs that lead to the stairs to get back to civilization. And make breakfast for my wife. :)

That’s a lot of steps! No need to buy exercise equipment.

Good morning. Ortho appointment this morning. Then working on cleaning the house again for the rest of the day. (Day two of cleaning) Got 5 of my husband’s college buddies coming for the 4th and will be here for 5 days. House hasn’t had a good cleaning since my surgery 4 1/2 months ago so it really needs it. Have a great day.
