Got mixed news from the doc. He said that I am going to need to do surgery at some point. He used the "F" word .... fusion. Fortunately - or not depending on your point of view - he said that I am too weak for surgery now. I have to try yet another cervical epidural and commit to a few months of PT. He was very clear that if I do not do PT now, my post op would be longer and much more painful. He said if I do this now, I have a high likelihood of being able to return to my job post surgery. In the meantime, I can research alternatives to the "F" word. I start PT next Tuesday.

In the meantime - no lifting over 20 pounds - sorry doggie. Limiting the twisting to measure ceilings... and no jumping out of airplanes. (darn, I so wanted to do that - not)

Good Morning Everybody!
Never even got a drop of rain yesterday and it was soooooo HOT!
Much cooler today with a higher chance of storms this afternoon.
Morning chores are complete, having coffee and watching Leave It To Beaver. I might go to Lowe’s today and NOT buy all the stuff I want but really don’t need. It’ll be interesting to see how many untrained “Yahoo’s” will be walking around wearing their “shootin‘ irons” today. As of midnight, no permit required here in TN.

It makes you safe. A little known secret NEVER covered in our honest media. Gun control vastly increases violent crime. Proven over and over again but never ever mentioned.

We have had no permit carry here for years. It is a constitutional right. Because of that I never have to.
I also don't have to lock my doors, be ever vigilant or lock my truck out on the driveway. My packages dont disappear from my porch. I can go anywhere any time of the day.

Our wonderful paper written for people with a 2nd grade mentality had a front page news story with a byline from a Chicago reporter about mass shootings in 2 other states over a weekend. No where did it mention that the number or people shot in those 2 other STATES was less than the number of people shot every weekend in the CITY of Chicago.

Zero shot here where everyone can carry a gun.

It doesn't fit their narrative of guns bad.

People that attribute violence to inanimate objects and not the people and society they created through their policies are dangerous.

I had to work in Washington DC. The first thing they told us when we arrived were the areas we could not go to during certain hours of the day. Within the hours you could go you were always supposed to take a partner. They had company vehicles with bullet holes in them.

Never mind reality. Believe what you are told.

Good morning. PT with dry needling this morning. Even though it hurts while doing the dry needling I’m looking forward to it as I am really sore this morning from over doing it with the house work. And it does really help! Then to the grocery store.

Is that the same thing as acupuncture? I have never heard it called dry needling before. I just looked it up.
I know all about trigger points.

Dry needling? I immediately went to counted cross stitch or needlepoint .... guessing that is not the same thing.

It is different than acupuncture

I was at a stand still with my PT still very painful and sore and not getting better or worse. After 2 dry needling treatment the pain was so much better. I attribute the difference to the dry needling. It really helped me turn the corner with healing. I have been getting it once a week for about 3 weeks now. I have 2 sessions left. Then done with PT!
