Good Morning!

good morning, figure out what's in it yet? fish count? snail at a gate??
The plug has been cleared using Ned's patented Technique of floating a string through and then pulling a bit of course filter sponge to clear the blockage. What came out was mud and sponges. The drains run 12 feet almost horizontally and only drop about 2 feet. The main siphon always plugs up and opening the valve does nothing. It does this every once in a while but always in the middle of the night.

When it unplugged it barfed a big cloud of goo into the sump. The large crab is inspecting it now.

@Just John , i seen you are helping the kid rehome "the bamboo shark" :cool:KUDO'S , NICE.. maybe post a link here???

Good morning! Y'all were busy yesterday....took a while to catch up! I'm experimenting with a new work schedule....four 10's and off Friday. I've been working that practically anyway, so may as well make it official and enjoy being off on Fridays. I don't want to push too hard during this overtime period because if I meet my deadlines, I'll be rewarded with......more work!:eek:

I do have a box-o-water coming today, a few coral frags for both tanks. I'm almost done buying coral.;Stop;Shamefullyembarrased;Hilarious

Have a great day! ;Joyful

Good Morning Reefies
back from the island.
while I was away, the tub tomeni decided to try land living.
it didn't end well. other wise the 150 and frag tub survived a complete novice subbing in for me.
amazing they survive me subbing in for me.
enjoy your day.
great things are in our future. (tomorrows pay day)

Morning All!
Sorry to hear about your “carpet surfing” little friend Mike. Seems like these things always happen when we are not there to rescue them. Maybe they miss us when we are gone and decide to go out looking for us.
Smoking hot and sticky here again today. I might try to get some outside chores done early. Gotta hit the grocery store and CVS to pick up an Rx first.
Have a great day Everyone!

Good morning,
First peak in the tank revealed a single white stick. Ugh.. and a couple rtn candidates. Let the mystery solving begin...

Good morning everyone!
Breakfast and coffee is done. Sunny is ready to run. But the past stormy 2 to 3 weeks have allowed mosquitos to flourish. They will rip her apart. I can't use bug spray on her. She has very little back fur. That and she'll end up trying to get it off. So it's inside for us until those blood suckers clear up. Takes a dry week.

Yes, I am trying. It has been a total fiasco. Maybe he has a learning disability or something, but dealing with him is difficult. Heck, I am the one trying to do this for him. He does not want to do anything but wait for me to sort it out. One day he absolutely wants give it away, the next he wants to keep it. Last night he said he bought 60 lbs of live rock, so maybe he is serious about keeping it now. Anything is possible. I have been trying to help him keep it alive until it's sorted out. I can tell you the whole long story if you want, but it will just make you mad. The short story is that there are two people right now who are interested, but I don't know what will happen. Unfortunately, I think it may die before anything is figured out. It hasn't eaten since he got it over a week ago.

Good morning. Hair cut this morning. Then round 3 of getting ready for house guest again! First was my husband’s friends for the 4th, then my daughter’s 19th birthday last Sunday, now daughter’s college friends coming for the weekend. She’s having a rave party Saturday night with both local and college friends! That should be fun…not, I feel a headache coming on already. Two of them are old enough to drink alcohol so yeah, gotta watch the booze cabinet  What we do for our kids!! Oh, and my husband conveniently has to be out of town this weekend! Part of me is looking forward to her going back to college.:)

Now that I have told you the negative stuff, here is something positive.

Good Morning. This morning after a day yesterday of 4 1/2 hours on the phone with my internet provider and my TV manufacturer Samsung I got "most" of my devices working. One Alexa is still argueing with me but I think she is coming around because she told me to come back later.

I had a little internet problem so they told me I needed a new router. I got one and the guy said "Just plug it in and it will work and you will be good to go"

Of course that is totally something my algae bleeny would tell me as electronics never work like that.

I won't go into it but it took 4 1/2 hours for them to get most of my devices to work.

I remember when I was a kid in the 50s, we had one TV. It was black and white and made out of wood. That is the same things we made trees out of.

You plugged it in and it worked . No passwords, no router, WAS or SSI or WASSI, networks, passwords, EPMI or EDMI Edanomi, whatever they are cables, no internet,
WiFi, signal strength, FPS ?, roaming etc.

Just a plug into the wall, maybe adjust the rabbit ears and grab a beer, or for me an apple juice as I didn't drink beer in the 50s.

Of course we only had 6 stations and all of them would go off at about 10PM. But they were all free no matter how long you watched.

We didn't care because we were playing outside no matter what the weather was.

Today we have 5,000 stations and it cost us over $300.00 a month for it and there is still nothing on we want to see.

I went on my morning walk about 6:00 and met quite a few of my friends. This little guy almost comes up to me now and soon I will maybe bring him some leftover linguine and clams as a snack. I think that is rabbits favorite food.

I also saw 8 deer and one of them I think is starting to like me, or at least not run away so fast as he feels he can out crawl this Geezer.

LOL
When we moved here I took the routers and stuff from the old house and hooked it up myself.
My son goes you cant do that.
I said try the internet.

Paul I have an unusual situation. I have a screw holding a power supply to a T-11 siding wall. The screw is not touching anything metal.

This screw measures 14.5 volts AC. I verified this by running a wire back to the main house earth ground for my VOM.
Other screws in the wall measure voltage as well and it decreases as you move away from the highest one in the center. 3 feet away it measures 2.6 volts.
I have seen screws that penetrated an electric wire and read 110 before but have no Idea where 14.5 V would come from. There is no wiring in the wall bay this screw goes into anyway.

Any ideas. Could a wood screw pick up that much induced voltage?

when the power supply is disconnected from power are you still seeing it? you could turn things off one circuit breaker at a time to identify the source. have fun, i love puzzles too!
