Good Morning!

Good morning
I was disappointed yesterday to find out the highest setting on my Subaru's cruise control was 90mph.
Chewie is my copilot.

I got back by 3 and threw the tank back together. It all seems to be working. It did increase the flow some because I had to open the various valves in the system some. The new overflow is handling the 2 return pumps set at 98% also. We will see if it makes a difference.
Time to make the coffee

Good Morning! i was in bed but it did not keep me, while i am UP i will post some pictures of it.
the SOO twice, Mackinac bridge from the toll booth roof, Lake Superior. 1568 bike miles. IMG_3137.jpeg IMG_3151.jpeg IMG_3164.jpeg IMG_3185.jpeg
hoping to make the soo our retirement location.
any "boats" come through while you was there?
lived in michigan all my life.
multiple multiple bridge crossings and i'm jealous.
i never got to climb up on the toll booth roof.

Ow, that looks painful! You weren't kidding when you said that you kept the old one clean. It looks brand new! I really like the new one.
Thanks John!
Now I can’t wait to wash a giant pan, LOL!

Long day today but my sink project is finished. All of the mounting clips for the old sink were rusted solid. It was a nightmare to get the sink out. The new one is really nice. Granite composite (80% crushed granite/ 20% resin)
Only bashed my noggin once crawling under the cabinet.

very nice.... the second pic. :)
the last pic is why i would hire it out.
that, and it would probably be cheaper to hire it out based on
a. my double time rate, which is what i base all home diy projects.
b. is it hunting season.
b. my screw up potential and and having to pay someone else to do it anyways after a diy attempt.
c. potential injuries as i don't heal as fast as i used too.

We hire everything out! We used to pass a plumbing company on the road...their slogan on the side of the building was "We Repair What Your Husband Fixed." At least my husband knows his limitations.

Good morning. Lots of rain yesterday, but thankfully we didn't lose power. Happy September! Cooler weather is coming...actually starting tomorrow. That will definitely help with the morning walk.

September also reminds me of one of my favorite songs. Bring on some Earth, Wind & Fire!

LOL
I bought an API nitrate kit at Petco. The test is quick and cheap and goes perfectly with my low range checker. No point in getting the checker out till you see yellow or very pale orange.

I have had my coffee, so I can now function. I hope everyone is doing well. With this hurricane I realized that I need to prepare for a week or so without power (it's happened before, but I didn't have my tank then) which just means making sure I have a couple hundred feet of extension cords. My neighbor just put in a generator that runs off of the city natural gas line. Yay me! Mike, my wife just looked over my shoulder and saw the picture of your head and immediately said, "See! That's why you need to just pay someone to do this stuff like I keep telling you to." Your sink may have just cost me some money - but prevented me from accidentally burning the house down, LOL. Now could you please post a picture of yourself with a brand new stainless steel grill with a side burner and electric start. Thanks!

API ammonia is the one I really don't like. The nitrate is hard to read at times. But gives you an idea. Hana is really for the nice pin point. But can still lie.
LOL

They high range checker
  • Precision: ±2 ppm ±5% of reading @ 77°F (25°C)
lets you see a number but doesnt really tell you much more than an API test kit.
And than you say this when I spent a nice minute typing. My morning skills are not the best.

Good morning! Happy .. Day!

being the wife and i "argue" over what colors the corals are, i need digital for those few times i do test.
colored water with a color chart isn't working for me.

All my wife says is you better get that fixed.

Me too, but I am trying some new stuff like the sulfur reactor. I got the cyano to go away without Chemiclean. Now for the GHA.
Cyano seems to be all about changing phosphates.
I am wondering if GHA is all about nitrates.
And if I am wrong it still occupied the time.

apparently my corals are addicted to cherry kool aid,
or the test is incorrect.

I think of it more like playing music. The exact frequency of a note is less important than if it sounds right. The color tells me lot's/some/none or close to it. For the last condition I have the low range checker.

True, but IMO the biggest problem with test kits is their lack of use.
